A very peaceful Sunday. Chelsea and I went on our walk. She let me sleep a LITTLE late, almost 6:15. She was a little adventurer this morning. We went up the path between the ball diamonds in the park and turned right instead of left and then went around the other part of the park and back home through the woods. I made her run so we could get ahead of the mosquitoes. The path is almost overgrown. When the mosquitoes die off, I will have to go through and pull the edges.

I did not have to go anywhere at all today. So. I cleaned my desk. I really cleaned it. Wax and all. I have a mailing ready to go to Kalkthaler about my Kitty Situation in Tallgrass. I am proposing a change to the amendments. I did some quilting too. The wall hanging is shaping up nicely. I just do a bit every day or so to relax.

I am drying some dill for seasoning this winter. It works well for several recipes that I like and mind is so old. I bought some fresh and one needs so little that it seems a shame to waste it. I read online that you could dry it in the microwave. It said to put it in a single layer for three minutes. It dries nicely allright, BUT it also started to flash bits of fire in the microwave too. So I asked Jim if I could borrow his dehydrator. THat seems to take a while but at least there is no danger of burning the house down.

Today I was thinking of a friend of mine who lived two doors down from me when I lived in Santa Ana Heights. Her name was Beverly Morgan and she was a wonderful person. She had three children, one of them the same age as my Bret and he was named Bret also. So we called my Bret, Bret Francis and her Bret, Bret Allen. He was a sweet boy too. But what I was remembering was that Beverly had a really sharp, loud and explosive laugh. She always said that it scared babies. She was right too. Bart was born while we lived near her and he would cry every time she laughed for quite a long time.

Have a great week. Tomorrow we start all over again.

Mary
