Another lovely day.    Sunshine, not to hot.    No wind.   Tomorrow we are expecting rain again.

I was able to be home until it was time for Mass at 4PM.   Tomorrow I will be going to mass at 10:30AM at Blessed Trinity.    They are closing St. Mary School and are formally doing so at the Mass tomorrow.   They have invited past students to come for the Mass and join in a social after Mass.   I really want to be there as I started 6th grade there and went through 8th grade being in the first class graduating from the school.  All nine of us went to St. Mary's, it is really sad to see it close.   There were just not enough people sending their kids to the school.   It doesn't seem to mean as much anymore.

Jim and Michelle called tonight.   They are just fine.    Lost a little food in the power outage, but not much and were safe in the complex's shelter.   They are busy and taking care of each other.    Now I know all my kids are safe for the time being.

I think I told you Bart came though his new implant of his stimulator OK and sounded really good yesterday when I talked to him.  After a bit of healing this should provide a large measure of relief from pain for him.

I cleaned my spice cabinet today and worked on the Scotland trip and on the marketing plan for my book.   I like days like this.

Roxie still is SO needy when I get home from anywhere.   I think she gets afraid when she is alone and is very relieved when I get back.

So Until tomorrow.

All my love

A very full day.   I was up and at 'em by 7:30AM.  Jody got here at 8AM.  I washed the sheets so that she could help me make the bed before she left.

The morning was quiet.   I picked up and put things away until 11AM, when I left to do lots of errands and have lunch with the bank girls.   There were four of us.   Betty, Marlene, Ceil and me.  I had a good old mushroom burger and got caught up with he girls.  It was a fun lunch.

The errands I had were the post office, the bank, the Sewing Basket, Walgreen's and Kettle Moraine Veterinary.   Now, tomorrow I can be home except for going to Mass at 4PM.   Yea.

This evening I went to the Plymouth Arts Center for their opening of their summer juryied mixed media art show.   I was pleased to find that my cousin Steve Bowser was again accepted.   I loved his painting called Red Tide.   A really striking abstract.   A couple of other people I knew were also represented.   Kitly Klitch, who teaches at the Art Center, had an oil called Fallen and Larry Basky, an artist I have long admired had two silkscreen monotype accepted.   I really loved the one called Water Walker.  He said it was his mother and I can see that.

A lovely evening.   Love music by local pianists and wine and snacks to enjoy as one puruses the art.

Kitty Klitch also had an exhibit of her student's work in the main event room.   My friend Mark Montaba got a second place.   That is really special as they are judged by their peers.   There was also a wall of paintings by Larry Krause a Sheboygan Falls Native who died this year and was a student of Kitty's.   She did a portrait of him too.  It was quite impressive.

So Goodnight all.

A super wonderful day at home.   I slept until about 7:30 and then got up and leisurely made my way into the day.  It was cold.   Cold all day.   As a matter of fact it was rainy and cold when I got up.   Roxie wanted me to open the door to the deck but I told her it was much too icky.

I finished cleaning out the cabinets with sewing stuff in them today.  I have a lot to give or throw away.   I also cleaned the pool table.    Next I will attack the closet with fabric and all of that.  One step at a time.

Aside from that, I was busy all day doing things that just took time but were not at all exciting.

Tomorrow will be much more interesting.  I have decided to have lunch with the bank ladies.   Haven't done that for a while.   I have several errands to do while I am out so will have a lot to report.  I am also going to the opening of the new exhibit at the Plymouth Arts Center at 6PM with Kate.   I always enjoy them.  I ran into Kitty Klitch, an artist friend who teaches at Plymouth Arts, and her students also have an exhibit at the Center so I will have a LOT to see.

So until tomorrow

On the whole, human beings want to be good — but not too good, and not quite all the time.

Today was supposed to be a whole day at home but I ended up having to go do some shopping because my black ink cartridge was empty and the one I though I had turned out to be a color.

It kind of misted and rained all day and was cool.   Actually a pleasant day for walking if one went between the misting.

I am working on various cleaning and writing projects now so my days are busy.

Til tomorrow.

It was chilly all day today.   We are supposed to get rain tonight and it will be cooler tomorrow.   Ich.   Where is summer?   Spring already was a dud.

I started off the morning by putting out the trash.   Not too much this week.   Then I decided to go to Mc Donald's for breakfast.   Suddenly had an urge for a bacon/egg and cheese biscuit.   I ran into my friend Betty and her friend Elaine.   I worked at the bank with Betty.   So she invited me to eat with her.   That was a pleasure.   I eat alone so much.

Next I did my grocery shopping.   Then I drove to The Corner Store in Sheboygan Falls to pick up some chains that I had new clasps put on.   While I was there, I had her check my ring and am I glad I did.   Two of the prongs are GONE.   So they have that to put a new crown or whatever they call it.   I
would be just heartbroken if anything happened to that ring.   I felt naked without it but find that my Claddagh fits on that finger.   So for a week or two, I can survive.

I stopped at Mother's to bring her some supplies that Dick used that she has a use for and I gave her a bottle of wine.   She has been having a glass before she goes to bed at night.

Home again,  I had some Condo stuff to do and some book stuff to do and some wash.   Then I left for the Plymouth Library and the Kettle Country Quilters.   We had a nice lady, I forgot her name, darn it, do a trunk show of her quilts.  They were just wonderful.   She embellished some of them and is so clever with her embellishments, using buttons and other creative things.

The meeting went well.   I showed my pillow shams at show and tell and the fabrics that I am using for the place mats for our donation to the Plymouth Meals on Wheels.   I should make one extra for Mom and probably will.

Home one MORE time, I have been kind of lazy.   I am just putting things away, and folding clothes and stuff like that.

Tomorrow I will be home all day, yea.   Unless, of course, I WANT to go somewhere.   It is nice to have no appointments.

Saw a cute UTUBE of Marcus eating all by himself.    He is such a cuddle bug. And quite proficient with that spoon, I must say.

A typical busy Monday.   It was cold when I woke up.   In the 40s.   It did warm up nicely into the 60s and with a soft day with nice sun and no wind, it was absolutely lovely this afternoon.

Bible study at 9:30AM.   Everybody was there except for Peggy Feider who is still recovering from her knee surgery.   I called her when I got home and she is recovering well.  She is home and walking with a walker.   She says that it will be a month before she can drive but she feels pretty well.   She sounded good and we miss her so.  We are almost done with our Psalms study and have decided to do Acts next.   So when I got home, I looked up the information and called Lynn at the rectory to order the materials for us.  We have at minimum two weeks left on psalms but probably will be at least a month.   We did not want to be scrambling at the end.

But there were 8 of us there.   We finished our discussion of Psalm 138.   We just had the last question which asked us what we think the church does for the "lowly"  or for that matter what we do for the "lowly".   And who are the "lowly" anyway.    We decided that we are all the lowly if we are not members of the proud hearted who feel and act above everybody.   Then we got to talking about the innocent.   Like the children and what our responsibilities are to those in need.   Tom pointed out that Detroit, has 300 bodies in cold storage that they cannot afford to bury or cremate.   Is this right?

Anyway,  enough of that,  I went to Mom's next.   She looked great and was very alert and awake today.   We had a few bills and things to take care of and then had a fine time to visit.    I always have to check what is on TV in the evening.   There is a movie tonight that I think she will like.   Ice Castles.

Then I came home and had my lunch.    I had a couple of business things to do and bills to pay so am now all caught up for the time being.   It was so beautiful that I opened the front door.   I managed to get the winter storm door out and the screen in.   I will wait for someone to help me get it positioned in the garage but was pretty proud of myself for getting that far.   If I HAD to I could get the rest of the way, but it won't matter if it sits there a day or two.

With the door open I could hear people talking, so I went out to visit with the neighbors who were out working on their gardens and all.   Such a nice afternoon.

Tomorrow will be busy too but Wednesday I will be able to be home all day and Thursday I don't even have anything scheduled at all.

Yippee

So I hope all my readers are enjoying good weather also.   I know there are fires in parts of Colorado and California.  Louisiana looks sunny and warm like Leslie likes it.   Madison is much like we are.   Lawton looks fine and Oklahoma City is still getting some rain.   Haven't heard from Jim and Michelle.  I left a message this morning.   I figure they will call when they can.   Probably lots to do to just get anything done.   I have the prayer chains and my bible study praying for them and all their neighbors.

So until tomorrow.

It was in the forties when I woke up this morning.    It got up to 62 but is already dropping down.   The next few days.   I did take the glass out of my front door and got the screen in.   I am having a bit of trouble getting the glass down to its summer resting place but have it out in the garage and when someone is here, they can help me.

I finished the shams for my bed pillows.   I am very pleased.

The rest of the day was cool.    I finished several little projects and put a lot of things away.

I went at 9:30AM this morning.   I picked up my friend Rita on my way.   As I told you, she isn't supposed to drive anymore.    We found my new next door neighbor Linda seated in the pew with us.    That is nice.   She is very pleasant and should be a good addition to the neighborhood.

Now I get to just wind down, relax and read until I get to bed and sleep.

Have a great week.

Keep Jim and Michele in your hearts as I got an email saying they will not have power until tomorrow OR the next day.    I called and left a message but haven't heard.   At least, we know that they were not hurt.
