Except for attaching the label, I have finished the St. David of Wales wall hanging.    Next I have assembled one of the quilt tops that is in my UFO area, have the batting and the backing so will do that next as a major project.

It  was a quiet day for the most part until this evening.    I paid some bills and dusted and worked on assembling some American Girl doll clothes that I discovered I had cut out several years ago.  The quilt guild is doing something with an American Girl doll for something or other, I am not quite clear what, but thought I could give one set of the clothes to them.

This afternoon, Bart and Barb picked me up at about 3:30PM to to to see the new Independence Day Resurgence movie.    It was pretty much one big battle, but I did enjoy it as it was fun seeing people like Jeff Goldblum, Judd Hirsch, Robert Loggia reprise their roles.    And it was nice that the planet was saved again.  From the ending, it seems that humanity will be going out with and interstellar fleet to finish the bad guys off in the next one.

A bit cooler today, but not much.   It is supposed to be milder for a day or two.

Have a great weekend.

Another very hot day, but it is less humid and I can definitely feel that in my joints.

Bart and I picked up lunch and went out to the base to eat it with Barbara.   That was a pleasant break.   Bart and I stopped at Hobby Lobby and I picked up a rod to mount in the hall so that I can begin  displaying seasonal wall hangings that I have created myself.   I had something like that in Sheboygan.

Nothing else exciting going on.  Tomorrow, I am supposed to go to a movie with Bart and Barb.   That will be fun,  Haven't gone to a movie in "forever".

I love most Wednesdays.   I go to 9AM Mass and then join a group of ladies (we would welcome men but none come) for a bible study.   We are on a, kind of, hiatus between official studies and discussing the readings from the upcoming Mass as we transition.  /Summer, vacations etc put us on that path.   (Not a bad one either.   It is always nice to be cognizant as to the readings one will hear on Sunday.)

Found out that our leader Judy's house got flooded in the past storms, WHILE they were on vacation so they are in need of lots of prayers as they go forward.   Imagine having everything your own saturated up to 18 inches.   Please pray for my friend.   I expect to see her next week.

Bart stopped by this afternoon and we had a great visit.  I am always so grateful for a VOICE.   As I have said,  I miss the interaction.    Tomorrow, he and I are going to do several errands together.  That will be fun.

Last night was a difficult one for me.   For some reason, I missed my Tony, the baby that went to heaven 53 years ago.    Most of the time I, of course, don't even think about it but once in a while, I remember every second.  I called my sister Nora, thank you for being there, Nora, and was able to share.   This doesn't happen very often but I can still smell the top of his little head.

I am sure that as I settle in here, I will have less time to be centering on things of the past.   This is a lovely community.   It will be fine.

I always find it interesting that those who have no experienced despair or lost someone to suicide seem to think that all you have to do is "turn to God".  I wish we could answer all the pain and sorrow that the people we love experience.    But we are but humans.   I say this because of comments from my fellow bible study people, who apparently do not know this.   Sometimes it takes LUCK.  And I believe that God is nicer than we are and will pull in our wounded much quicker than those who just sail into heaven without a test.  (Tears in my eyes.   I am still sensitive from missing Tony.)

On hundred degrees on my security system screen.   Ouch.   Went out to get the mail a bit ago with poor Nicky.   He just sat down and was very glad to be back in the house where it is cooler.

I got my hair cut this morning and then went to the grocery store.   I do want to cruise Office Max and possibly Hobby Lobby for a couple of things but decided that since it was lunch time and the heat was settling in, I was better off in my air conditioned home.

I have several projects that I am working on.   My St. David of Wales, or Dewi Sant as he is called, is getting down to the last.    He is turning out OK.   I want that for my picture of St. David in my book.

I just have to figure out how to do that.  Picasa is not working and I am trying with other programs.

I feel sometimes overwhelmed, but I can handle it.
