I just looked at the thermometer.   It registers 104 degrees.    Glad I don't have to be out in it.    Took Nicky for a walk this morning when it was only 68 degrees.    Have to stick to that.    At least his backyard, where he has to go during the day, is shaded by three nice elm trees.

I have given myself a goal of finishing a quilt that I have been working on FOREVER before tomorrow night so that I can take it to the Quilt Guild on Monday.    Think I  told you that.    Well, I have one side to baste and will be done.      I'll let you know but I plan on finishing it tomorrow as I have no time consuming events.    Just a quick trip to the grocery and drug stores sometime during the day.    I have decided to bring Ambrosia to the Quild Guild pot luck.   Sounds refreshing.

It is supposed to start cooling down the end of next week.

Another hot day.   My thermometer showed 97.    I was able to stay in except for a shopping trip and a couple of other errands that took less than an hour.    Lucky me.

I should be able to finish the quilt that I have been working on by Saturday.   Then I can take it to the Quilt Guild meeting on Monday.   I will try to remember how to send a picture it it to you all.

I am just glad that I feel well enough to do something creative EVERY DAY lately.

Hope you are all well and happy.
I truly love you all

Just got back from Writer's Club and took Nicky for a short walk.     We heard some nice readings tonight and I read a couple of poems that I have been working on.

The rest of the day was occupied.    Kerry came to clean this morning and Dan came to mow the lawn this afternoon.  I spent some time working on crocheting and quilting and then the day was gone:)

It is hot and humid again but at least stayed in the 90s.

I was an usher at church this morning.    It was a nice mass.

Talked to Leslie this afternoon.    She is continuing to improve and sound great.

Just got home from having dinner with Bart, Barb and Marlies.   I brought potato salad.     American potato salad which is my specialty.    Barb's family prefer the German potato salad but Bart expressly asked for American.  I go carried away and made enough for an army like I used to and ended up taking half of it over to my neighbors.   I must learn to pare down the recipes:)
