We kept getting threats of storms and hail off and on all day, but nothing materialized.

I was home most of the day.   Had an appointment with Dr. Toy at 3:30PM.   He is keeping my back and neck together.   I hope that after I see Dr. Aiku on Monday, we will be able to come up with a joint program to help alleviate the pain in my joints.   I have only been off the statins for two day and already I can feel SOME relief in my muscles.    Dr. Toy says that it takes a full month for all the drug to be out of one's system.  Then he has some suggestions which are natural.

I mixed up and baked some bran muffins for dinner tonight.   Bart came over and had split pea soup and muffins for supper with me.   Barb was going out for dinner with friends.    We were both tired, so called it an evening early.

They are going to a garden shop to morrow and will pick me up so I can buy my plants too.   Yea.  I hate doing that alone.

A lovely day

A lovely day in every way.   We were offered rain etc, but it was a sunny balmy day in Lawton.

Had a wonderful meeting of the Lawton Celtic Group.  We spoke of the 191 6 Easter Rising and then went on to local and personal subjects.   We have decided that we will pursue our roots, next meeting.   We will bring our genealogy and our dna results.   Does that sound like fun - or WHAT!!!

A gorgeous day in Oklahoma.

I got my lawn mowed this afternoon.  It is so nice and green.

Went to Bible study this morning.    We had an animated discussion about the "Lamb of God".    This is an interesting book on the Eucharist.   All the studies seem to have their own fun.

Tomorrow, the Lawton CWI meets.   I hope we have a good group.

Fog was a big deal throughout the area but not in our neighborhood.   Nicky and I had a lovely morning walk.   Ran into Bev from down the street and her doggie, Sir William.   He is a Chihuahua.

Kerry came at 10AM to clean the house.   Nice to have that done.   I went to the bank and the grocery store this afternoon.   I also dropped a nutrition survey off for Dr. Toy.   He is going to try to help with the pain.  I also have a whole list for Dr. Aiku on Monday.   I am thinking the statin might be causing the increase.   I read up on side effects and before them it was just my joints, not my muscles that hurt.   I'd rather have high cholesterol and work on diet than live in constant pain.

Writer's club was cancelled because most were unable to attend, so I took a whirlpool bath and will go to bed with cool packs to see if I can sleep.

It was a lovely sunny day in the 70s here in Oklahoma.

Woke up to cloudy skies and off and on rain.

We were spared the hail and severe storms that were predicted.  I am so glad since my car had to be left out in the driveway last night.

Today, the garage door person, Brent, arrived at about 11:30AM.  He had an accident on the way here so I admire his determination to take care of his clients (especially me).

He did a great job as far as I can see.  He has me working again with some safety features that I did not have before.  As Dick used to say.  He was so grateful for these people who know how to FIX things.

Saw Dr. Toy, my chiropractor, this afternoon.  We are going to work on things to help relive the pain that I am experiencing.   I am so glad that he understands and he feels that I can bring his suggestions to my GP on Monday when I see her.  So he must  have worked with her before.

I seem to be caught up on everything that was ignored while I was gone so am feeling quite free.   I need to write something for tomorrow night's Writer's Club meeting.   I have a rough draft but don't know if I can get it done in time.  So a poem might make the meeting:)

A lovely Easter day.    We were and are supposed to get rain but as time passes it looks like it might miss us after all.

Bart and Barb had Marlies and me over for a delicious ham dinner with fresh asparagus and sweet potatoes and peach cobbler for dessert.   Nice to be with family on this feast day.

Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to get my garage door fixed.   The guy promised to call in the morning and I can be available all day except for my appointment with Dr. Toy which is close by and very short.    I aill be so GLAD to get that taken care of.

Got home after 11PM from the Easter Vigil service last night.  It is a really special service but SO long.   We had several new people join the church.

So a new week dawns.  Nicky is a happy guy to have me home.
