Here it is, the night before Easter.

I was home all day and just did the baking for our Easter dinner at Adam's house in Geronimo tomorrow.   I am braining carrot cake and cole slaw.     Just what Adam and Alexia provide is always a sumptuous feast so when everybody brings something we eat like kings.    George Hiner used to say.   "I wonder what the rich people are eating tonight.'   Definitely not better than our feast.

Just got home from the Holy Thursday services at Holy Family.    They are quite long but we had all the Holy Thursday extras plus 10 people who were confirmed into the faith tonight.   A very lovely ceremony and we were bilingual also.    Divided between English and Spanish.

The rest of the day was quiet except that I got a call from Nora who has received her DNA analysis and found out she has the same as me with different percentages on the ethnic regions.   She is even more British Isles than I am.      We were impressed however that I was listed as definitely related and so are Bret and Bart.

Sunny today but in the 60s.    I kind of like that.   Not too hot, not too cold.

I was home all this cloudy day, until this evening when I went to church for Vespers and the blessing of the sick.
The ceremony is a really long one but well worth it.  All people who want the blessing with the newly blessed holy oils receive it on their foreheads and cheeks.    Bless Fr. Phil, he remembered my surgery and blessed my upper chest also.   I am doubly blessed by his caring soul.

The past four days were very quiet.   Then came today.     It was raining quite heavily when we woke up this morning.   Nicky was not happy with his bathroom at all.

I did my grocery shopping this morning and got my lottery ticket for the week.   Then I washed clothes and sheets and towels.    Almost all caught up with that.

This evening I went to Writer's Club.   There were 5 of us there.   Three of us read.   I am feeling better and am going to read something from my saint book every week.   This will perhaps get my creative flowing again.
