A quiet day.  A HOT day.

I only had to go out once for a short errand.

Mary and Nate came at around 11AM to clean the house and mow the lawn.  So that is done.

Bart is doing a bit better.  I will drive him to his appointments on Monday.

Pray that all continues this well.

I miss my Mom.
As Dad would have said.  It was hot as the hinges of Hell today.   My car thermometer peaked at 101 degrees.   My house thermometer says 96 now and it is 6:30PM.   More days like this to come.

A BUSY BUSY DAY.    I drove Bart to his dental appointment this morning, after baking scones in the early morning for the Celtic meeting this afternoon.    Poor guy.   They ended up extracting two teeth that he was thinking they were going to repair.    So I took him home and got him settled and then went on to the second event of the day.

THE CELTIC GROUP.!!!

Guess what.   Two people, PLUS, Sheila Robinson, a reporter from the Lawton Constitution and her photographer, Jeffrey, came to the meeting.    We have a core.   We will be meeting next month on August 18th.  Also, one of the new members, Robbi, offered her home for the first of (I Hope) many Samhain dinner in October.   That is the Harvest/Samhain/gathering that the Sheboygan Branch has been doing for several years.   We bring our best harvest dinner and share that with stories of Samhain.  Samhain is Halloween - the entry into the Dark season where people are supposed to regroup and reenvigorate.   It can happen.

I left there and picked Bart up again as I had to get him to see his Dr. Davies.   We did good.   Barbara came while he was with Dr. Davies.  This is ALWAYS good.  We are truly blessed to have Barbara in our lives.

Anyway.  I am home now, fed, Nicky is happy.   Tomorrow I will be chauffer for Bart again.   Guess there is a reason for me to be here at this time.

An extremely busy day.     I was interviewed by a Sheila Robinson from the Lawton Constitution today about the Celtic Club that I am trying to establish.    She was very pleasant and will have an article in the Style Section of next weekend's paper along with a picture that will be taken at the meeting on Thursday at the Center for Creative  Living.  I promised to dress up like a leprechaun:)

Had to pick up Nicky's heartworm and flea prevention meds at his vets too.

Then I went to Bart's and we went out for lunch.   He had a doctor appointment that I took him too.   He was a bit shaky these days and doesn't like to be driving then.   I am so glad that I am here to help out.    There is a good reason for everything.    Pray for my Bart.

It is still hot and supposed to get hotter.  But the humidity has eased up some.

Sunday

Another hot day.

Guess this is my lot.

I was busy most of the day.  I finished the project that was presented to us at the Sit and Sew that
Barbara and I went to on Friday evening.   It is cute, I guess.

Went to Mass this morning and visited with several people that I am beginning to feel close to.   It all takes time.

I know that at least two people will be at the next organizational meeting for Celtic people.   Hope there are more. That will be on Thursday.

Time to wind down for the night.  It was a nice day.  I talked to my friend, Janet, and my brother, Jeff.

So not too quiet around here
