Happy St. Petroc's Day

Happy St. Petroc's Day to all the Celts, especially our Cornish sisters. St. Petroc is recognized as one of three patron saints of Cornwall. Both the Roman Catholic and the Anglican Communities honor him as patron of the country. Many pilgrims travel to his church in Bodmin, but there are no organized celebrations of his day. Perhaps we should change that?

It's almost 10PM and I just got home!!!.

I attended a special mass and dinner in honor of the pastor of my new parish,Holy Family.   It was in honor of the 25th anniversary of his ordination.   It was a pot luck with the meat provided by the church.    I am stuffed as Mass was at 6:30PM FOLLOWED by the dinner.    Good food and too late in the evening.

|OH well.  It was worth it.

Til tomorrow.

A whole day at home.  I did not even shower.    Gave my body a chance to just replenish.

It rained off and on ALL Day.  My back yard is a bunch of puddles.  We don't flood, but there are lots of pools of water.

I worked on a couple of projects and just relaxed.   I miss my guy's voice and someone to bounce my thoughts off of.    I was so blessed to have that time.   Must keep that in mind.   In the mean time I am trying to keep busy with things that are worth being busy about:)

Love you all

Another quiet day.   I worked on my sewing project and make several phone calls.

Then, I went to Cameron College for what I thought was going to be a Writer's Club meeting, but no one was there.    I didn't go last week, perhaps they decided not to meet this week as it was just the day after Memorial Day.   Oh Well.  There are only four people besides me in the group that have showed up so far, I think I will look elsewhere for something to do with writing.

A beautiful day in Oklahoma.   Sunshine, not too hot, not too humid.   Nick and I went for a couple of walks today.    This morning, we walked through the park.   A good portion of it was finally mowed.   So far, the park, full of areas to play baseball, shoot hoops, have picnics has been unmowed and looked like a prairie.  Nicky had to hop through the grass.  not that he minds that.    He IS goofy.

But I hope this means that there is some maintenance on it.

Aside from that, it was a quiet day.   Nothing exiting at all.  I just puttered on lots of things.

Dia dhuit and hope your Memorial Day was full of memories.   Mine was.

Memorial Weekend Sunday

Went to Mass this morning at 8:30AM.    Shared a song I had written the words to with the music director of Holy Family.

Then I went home, after filling my tank, and prepared a quiche to go with fresh fruit and blue berry bread to take to Bart and Barb at noon.   I can't do much, but I can feed them.    Barbara said that the pain is much better.   I left at about 1:30PM so that she could get more rest.   She does not need to be entertaining her mother in law.

A quiet rest of the day.
