I am looking forward to tomorrow. I don't have to go any where or finish anything.
Today however was much busier than that. I started off with my usual morning routine, then at 9AM went to pick up SHARE. There is one of the volunteers who is also a poet. We shared our work today.
Then I went home an put everything away. The freezers are full. Baring an electrical failure, Dick and I could probably survive for a month on just what I have in this house.
I did a lot of cleaning this morning and made a batch of spaghetti sauce. We had a pre frozen Chicken Cavetelli for our dinner with a nice salad and ice cream and strawberries for our dinner.
I took a nap this afternoon and then went to the Palm Sunday Service at St. John's. That is always a bit longer service because of the reading of the Passion - Sunday is St. Luke's version.
Dick and I shared a Chicken Sandwich and Waldorf Salad for our supper.
I called Bart and Barb tonight. Bart sounds quite good. Very alive and I even heard him laugh. Barbara is healing. She had had such terrible allergic problems resulting on having a blister on her eardrum drained. I can't imagine how uncomfortable that must have been, but it seems to be providing her with some relief. So thank God that she got to this particular doctor.
So that was our day. Michelle and Jim will be here next Thursday late and Richard and Brenda are going to try to come on Saturday to see them before going to Brenda's family Easter Celebration. It is always nice to have family together. Brenda is the perfect example to that.
Bart and Barb are planning on coming to visit at the end of June for his High School Reunion. That will also be a pleasure. I will get to plan a gathering for that too.
The end of a Saturday. Time to rest
God love you

What a day. Both Dick and I had appointments this morning. I was not done until 1PM.
The morning was very normal. Taking care of critters, walking, showering feeding us all and getting a couple of loads of wash done. Chelsea ate both of her meals today. I was encouraged.
Dick had his hair cut appointment this morning over at Shear Delight. That is in the same building as the rehab center he was in. Julie did a great job on him and we saw his physical therapists, at least to say HI.
The next appointment was mine. I had my annual eye appointment with Dr. Cheryl Ziegler. Basically, my eyes are healthy, But. I do have a definite change in my vision and will be getting new glasses. AND I have the very beginning of cataract signs. Nothing to worry about yet but we well be watching.
I picked up Dairy Queen for Dick and I for lunch and then took a nap. To my shock, when I woke up, it was 4:10PM and I had to pick Nancy up for our pistol shooting and the Art Center Exhibition at 4:45PM. I sailed. I put some food for Dick in a saucepan with a plate and utensils next to it. I fed the dog and cat and I got myself dressed and ready to go. Then I walked Chelsea and was out of her by 4:50PM. Not bad.
We were almost the first people at the clubhouse tonight so we were able to go right down to the range. We each shot three targets. I at least got all the shots on the paper and improved with each. They were not TOO bad but I am still jerking some shots. Nancy is struggling. I think she is over thinking now and needs to relax and go back to what she was doing at the beginning. I have had times where I couldn't do it and had to settle down.
We went from there to the Plymouth Art center for the opening of the 15th Annual Juried Art Exhibition. Kitty Klitch also had her students exhibit at the same time. A fellow classmate of mine from High School, Mark Montaba, had a painting in that grouping. They were challenged to do paintings from old photographs of their families. Memory paintings and they were powerful.
At 6:30, the winners of the juried show were announced. Nancy and I had not made it all the way around the show yet. Imagine my delight when they announced that a Stephen Bowser was one of the winners in the show. When he walked back from picking up his award, I whispered to him that my mother was a Bowser so he waved me over. He is Jerry Bowser, Mom's first cousin's son. His painting is beautiful. He was there, with his brother and sister and Jerry too so it was kind of a mini reunion. Was that exciting! I can hardly wait to tell Mom on Monday.
I got home at about 7:30PM. and am just relaxing before going to bed. I have a kitty sprawled on her back on the desk and a doggy sound asleep in the kitchen and a man sleeping in the bedroom on a freshly made bed. Doesn't that sound cozy?
God love you all

Chelsea would not eat her breakfast this morning. That is a worry, but I did get her to eat her dinner so that made us feel a bit better. She is such a fussbudget these days. None of her favorites are favorites anymore.
I took down the St. Patrick's Day decorations and brought up the Easter things. I spent some time ironing on a quilting project and straightening up in the furnace room. There is still a lot to do but I got almost everything off the floor.
We had some of the ham that I bought for our noon meal with fried potatoes, fresh broccoli and apple salad.
Then I took a short rest before going over to the Aging and Disability Resource Center for an Open House. I sat at the table with Janice and Janet representing our Amputee Support Group. There were representatives from lots and lots of community resources from Mental Health to Meals on Wheels and everything in between. It opened at 3PM and went on until 6:30PM. I was able to stay until 5:30 to help but then had to get home to take care of the animals and feed Dick and myself.
A nice quiet evening at home. I am watching Angela's Ashes and then will go to bed. Tomorrow will be a full day.
Please pray for my brother in law Kenny. Dolores called and he is having tests on his heart on Monday. They caught it early but there are some problems that need to be fixed.
So now to bed and sleep.
God love you

Rather nice day. The sun was shining but it was a bit cooler than the past couple of days. At least the rain that is supposed to come will not be here until the weekend.
I did the grocery shopping this morning, finishing everything up by about 10AM. Then I did a load of wash, cleaned the kitchen cabinets and made some ricotta out of the milk that had soured. We had leftover corned beef and cabbage for our dinner.
Then I rested a bit but couldn't really sleep so I got up and just worked on anything that I saw that needed to be done around here. I can't really put my finger on it but I was busy all afternoon.
Then I fixed us Reuben sandwiches with the leftover corned beef and we had ice cream with fresh sliced strawberries for dessert.
I then drove over to Mead Library. Karl Elder is leading a poetry share there on one Wednesday a month through May. I missed the first one but thought this would be a good experience. I feel a little out of my league but will probably go back anyway. One of the others said not to feel that way. We can't and shouldn't all write exactly alike.
I wrote a little haiku - no title - Can you think of one?
Outside the window
The cardinal looks for food.
Inside sits the cat.
The week and the month are both winding down. Enjoy each day.

Pretty much a stay at home day and the weather was again beautiful. When Chelsea and I went for her morning walk, the birds were singing all around us. Some of them are getting used to us and as long as we keep on moving don't fly away too fast. That is lots of fun.
This was a bath day for Dick and we changed leg wrappings and all. Then I cleaned the drawers in the refrigerator and make some phone calls and did some catch up on email.
We had chicken, garlic bread, corn and salad for our lunch with Waldorf Salad for our dessert.
Than I rested before going to the bank and the drug store. Chelsea and I went out into the back yard to rake the bed with the rhubarb in it. I spread manure on the rhubarb to make it grow big and juicy. Chelsea managed to get herself tangled and tied up around about three different trees. It looked like a spider web. But she had a lot of fun and so did I.
This is going out on Wednesday morning obviously. The internet went down while I was working on it and I could not send it. I even had to reconstruct a bit because it stopped saving.
So such as it is yesterday is reported.
Have a GREAT Wednesday
God loves you

Monday, Monday. It was a busy one. The weather was beautiful. Sunshine and warmth and robins all over the lawn. Also, the little crocuses are starting to bloom in the front. They are such a joy.
A very lively Bible Study this morning. Ione brought me a copy of the picture of me that was in the Press. She said her husband figured that I must have a bit of beer in the cup that I am holding. I told her to tell him it was actually a bit of Jamison.
Went to Mother's right away. Nora and Leif were still there hoping to say good bye to me and visit a bit as they left for home today. Danice came while we were thare too. She is trimming Mother's hair today. So we all got to visit for about 20 minutes. Then I had to go to Mark Miller's office in Sheboygan to pick up our taxes. Things came out pretty well this year. We had to pay a bit on one and got quite a lot back on the other. So we will do some adjusting for the next year.
I picked up Dairy Queen for our lunch on the way home. After lunch a rested a bit before going downstairs to get the trash, put the clean sheets on the bed down there and clean off the pool table. Then I remembered that I had to go to K Mart to pick up Chelsea's prescription of antacid. So. I took her along. She was so very excited. She seemed a bit perkier than yesterday.
Now, I am watching the premier of this year's Dancing With the Stars. It is quite good so far. I am content.
Tomorrow is a day with no scheduled events. I am looking forward to that. There are several chores to be done. It should be nice enough to put the manure on the rhubarb. I want that to get really nice and healthy.
Take care and enjoy this wonderful weather.
God love you

Mother and Nora found another of Dad's Poems. I will publish it here as it is charming.
My Angel
My angel came from heaven above
He reminds me of God's true love.
He loves me for I am his child
He helps to keep me meek and mild.
My guardian angel never strays
Even when I sleep he stays.
He keeps me safe along the path
Protects me from the devil's wrath.

A quiet Sunday. I spent the morning catching up on CWI computer messages and a few other things. We had bratwurst and beans for our dinner.
Chelsea had two rally bad fainting spells back to back just about 11:30AM. The poor little girl has been very subdued and sleepy the rest of the day.
I took a nap this afternoon, then went downstairs to do some sewing and picking up. I want the area to be pleasant when the next guests arrive at Easter. In this case Jim and Michelle.
The day was really pretty. It started out a bit cold but warmed up beautifully before afternoon and the sun shone bright in a blue sky.
Tomorrow starts a moderately busy week. I got some extra hours of sleep this weekend so hope I am ready for it.
