A nice Valentine's Day.   I took a day off mainly.   I did some cooking an wrote a poem and washed clothes.

Then this evening, my neighbors, Bob and Peggy had invited the neighborhood over for a Valentine's day party.   It was fun.  I got to meet a couple of the neighbor's who I had not really met before.   And after this cold winter,to reacquaint with some who have been holed up in their homes during this bitter cold.

I will be in bed early so I am bright and alert for singing at Mass tomorrow morning and then the play in the afternoon.   A full and fun Sunday.

Friday again

I was home most of the day.

Worked on the book today and am putting it on  a schedule.    I am going to get myself organized.   So there.   I have decided to pretend that I still have a job and have been assigned projects with deadlines.   That should work, Right?

It did get up into the 20s this afternoon.    Has dropped a bit this evening and there is this fluffy snow falling that does not seem to be accumulating at all.   Thank heavens for that.   It is supposed to get bitter cold this weekend - windchills of -30.   Ouch.  Poor little Nicky.   We will be making several trips outside if the wind is as bad as they say.

Tonight I went to Rhine to shoot pistol league.   I am still struggling, but will keep working at it.  I am finally feeling that I am automatically handling things right with my left hand.   AND at least all the shots are on the target.

So, tomorrow I will be home most of the day.  My neighbors, the Hurries, are having a Valentine party tomorrow night.   A few neighbors.    That will be fun.

Sunday, Bobbie and Bill and I are going to Memories Dinner Theater to see a play called Stuck.   This is such a nice theater experience.   So glad they got this series as a Christmas present.  Thanks, you two.  I love you.

Felt pretty good today until I went to the Dr. Wiegand, my chiropractor:)  Of course, my back did adjust and now is a bit sore again.    But it is in place and a good night's sleep should help.

Had choir practice tonight.   We did quite well.    The holy season of Lent is coming up and there is so much to learn.   I do like being in choir though.   Like my Dad, I love to sing.   I think of him often when I do.

No other excitement.  so Good Night

Just got home from the Poets at Mead group.   I always enjoy that group so much.   It is the one writer's group that REALLY gets me motivated.   We had about 16 people and wonderful poetry and ideas came to me.   Now to keep up the enthusiasm and get going.

I did my grocery shopping today too.  I also took little Nicky to see the vet.   He has only one little REAL Pug fold below his eye and it is a bit rashy and infected.   So I am putting an antibiotic in it.  Not real serious but it was not healing on its own.

So. until tomorrow

It was a moderately busy day.     My cleaning lady, Beth, was here.   She came late and as I had a dentist appointment, I was nervous about leaving her alone with Nicky.    As it turns out, he was and probably is just fine when I am gone, at least with people he has met before.   He followed her around a bit and let her pet and love him so I am encouraged.   He is settling down a little with people we meet outside too.

Look, Mom.   No cavities.   I had a good cleaning and checkup.   Xrays this time.   Not much change, I guess.  Jenelle did say that I should water pic Every day.   I have been doing it three times a week.  She is so excited that I got a doggy.

The rest of the day, except for a nap, was sorting, organizing and sewing.

Now it is getting on to bed time and my ribs started hurting about two hours ago.   I was feeling SO good all day too.

Oh well,   Maybe every day will be a little better.

A truly busy Monday.

Bible Study at 9:30AM after picking up the sacrament to take to Meadowview to Mother and her fellow Catholic Residents.    The study was especially interesting.  We read Acts 19: 23-40.   None of us ever remembered reading or hearing it before.   The revolt of the silversmiths against the followers of Jesus  in Ephesus, as  the silversmiths had the market on the silver statues of Artemis and her temple.   Where were they to make their money.

Then I went to see Mom.  She is doing so well.  We had lunch together.  Then I went to the Sheboygan County Writers Club.  We had a speaker.  Interesting but a bit above me.   I missed our sharing.   Next month.

So time to go to bed.   I am very tired.

It was cold today.  I know that we have had lower temperatures, but it was a damp cold and really was hard to handle.   I felt so good this morning.   No pain.   Then as the afternoon rolled on, my ribs and back started hurting.  Hope I get a good night's sleep and feel as good tomorrow morning as I did this morning.

I just had a lot of work to do on the Gathering and cleaning up around the house today.   I went to shoot the pistol league today as I had decided to take a WHOLE day off on Friday.   Didn't do too good, but at least each target improved.   Saw some old friends,  Jimmy for instance, you remember Jimmy, Bobbie.

I had a good time but was glad to be home again.

Tomorrow will be a usual busy Monday with the Sheboygan Writer's Club thrown in.   I don't have to pick Sy Regan up.   He had a heart attack and though doing well has been told to stick close to home to recuperate.

The upcoming week is much quieter than last week.   Thank heavens!   Sometimes things just pile up on a person.   Dick always said that I don't know how to relax.     He is so proud of me for not signing up for another concert at the Plymouth Arts Center.   Of course,  I love singing and would love doing it,  BUT I am much too busy now.   I remembered that strange word he said I should use.   NO.
