I have a doggy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now if I can convince her that everything is OK we will be fine.   Actually she is being very good but seems reluctant to move around the house and, of course, is not too sure what she should consider me to be.     I want her to "love me more than life itself" but that will take more than a day:)

She is a sweet  thing, a bit shy.    Her foster mother had her for three years and called her Vita which will remain her name, of course.  The only thing that DOES bother me is that the foster mother was unable to afford boosters for shots etc in January so poor little Vita is a year behind.    I have an appointment with Dr. Fiorello on Monday.   They can update her, do whatever else needs to be done and give her a good grooming.    That way I won't be the bad guy giving a bath.

I am all ready for Christmas except for some Christmas Cards.   And now I have my Christmas furry friend.

By the way,   Barbara went with me this whole day to search for doggies.    What a Gal.    Bart seemed pleased.   He will be when he meets her.

What a busy few days.     I have had doctor appointments,  meetings, some decorating and baking and just plain keeping up with bills etc.

I have three Christmas cards already so will have to get to that soon.    All my out of state packages are one their way.    I panicked when they said that posting late would end up with late deliveries and ended up sending WAY too soon.    Silly me.  At least they will be there.

Going over to Bart and Barb's tonight for a lasagna dinner.    Lucky me.

I went to the Post Office this morning and mailed all my packages, so those of you who get candy etc, expect it by Monday.    It seems early, but I kept hearing stories about there being delays if you wait too long.

Then I worked around the house and on some small projects until tonight when I went to Writer's Club.    There were four of us and we all read things so it was fun.    We will not be meeting until after the New Year.    Tomorrow will be the last Bible Study until next year too.

Well,   we'll all enjoy the holidays.

This was a nice day.    I did some Christmas decorating and baked some beer bread for the Quilt Guild Christmas Party and Pot Luck.

The party was at one of our member's home.    A Beautiful Home.       We had a grand spread of food while we enjoyed each other's company.     Then after a Bad Santa Gift exchange we visited some more and then came home.   One of my friends, Judy Haley, who is also in bible study with me, picked me up so I have friends now.

It was a grand party.

It was cold outside today and is supposed to continue cold for a few days
