I am so very tired.    I spent the morning working on the Conference again, mainly getting things prepared to proceed on Monday when business can be conducted.  I also did my wash and cleaned the kitchen.    My cleaning lady is switching to Tuesday mornings and the kitchen just can't go that long.   Actually, the counters and stove have to be cleaned daily, even with just me here.

This afternoon, I went out to Eli's on Hwy 67 near Hwy J to meet the rabbit hunters after their hunt to participate in the annual sausage tasting contest.    This is the 30th year that the guys have done this.  Amazing.   Eight people brought their sausages.   The winner was made by Roehrborn Meats.   I am not sure where but some of you might.   There was one this time with cheese in it and one with part bear meat.   Had a great time visiting with the hunters.    I miss them now that I don't hunt.  The Behr boys were there and Sara came, of course.   Sara says HI BOBBIE!

So I am trying to perk up a bit because it is way to early to go to bed, at least to sleep.   But I may anyway to get the load off of my hips and put cold on my shoulder.    I already soaked my hips because they were so sore.

My face, by the way, looks good.    I had told Jeff and Kathy that I heal fast.   Jeff was really surprised at how true this is.

So tomorrow, Mass to 9:30AM and then the rest of the day here.   I want to zone in on my Cornwall trip.

A good day

I know it is warmer, but when 35 is warm, one knows there is something wrong with one's perception of warm.

I had an appointment with Dr. Murthy this morning to get my stitches out.   It went quite well.   He had a student or intern or whatever working with him who was very nice.    The stitches came out very easily.  Now I just have to let it heal.

I did a lot of CWI Gathering stuff today and rested this afternoon.   At 5PM I drove over to Rhine and shot pistol league.  I am not doing too bad.   Need practice obviously but will keep plugging away.

Tomorrow is quiet except that I am going to join the rabbit hunters around noon for the annual sausage tasting.   If you want to come, Bobbie, we are going to be at that restaurant/bar on Hwy 67 just west of J.

I am sore in the shoulder.   Not surprising as I got worked on yesterday.  I am going to take the dog out, fix the coffee pot and go to bed.

I AM healing

I am itching which is a good sign of healing.

It was a busy morning.  I had to go grocery shopping, to the post office, to the bank and to the police station to dispose of old medicines.

I was exhausted when I got home but with  a couple of rests, I still got my banking caught up and did a lot of work on the Celtic Gathering.   I will see the president tomorrow to be sure that she is OK with the plan.   I talked to Brenda today.  She is scoping out restaurants and Celtic groups for me.  I have Black Earth firmed up.  Will be in touch with Michael early next week to decide what we want to do and the cost.

Need costs to get the information out.

So.  Tomorrow I will see my chiropractor and be sure that there is no more damage than I think.   I am feeling better every day.

Well, I was home all day until evening.   I really did get a lot done considering that I have purposely been taking it very easy and resting often so that the aching shoulder and knee get a chance to heal.

Nicky and I have been out several times.   The salt on the street makes his little feet hurt and he HAS to poop pretty soon.  Poor little guy.

Jeff and Kathy stopped by on their way to see Mom this morning.   They wanted to meet Nicky.   I was so glad to have company.   He still is very shy when people come in, but I know that as there is more activity and he is here longer, he will feel secure.

Well, I just got home from a nice seminar at church.   Always love to be learning more about my faith.   It is so cold and My shoulder is so sore.   I am going RIGHT to BED.

Oops

The last two days have been a bit rocky.

Last night as I was bringing Nicky in from his last walk, I fell on the porch onto my face and arm and knee.   When I got in the house and looked at my face, my nose was bleeding like crazy.   I knew I needed help so I called my neighbors, Peg and Bob Hurrie.    Peg is a retired nurse and when she looked at my nose figured that I needed some stitches.   So she drove me to Sheboygan Memorial ti Emergency.

Sure enough.   Three stitches and a good exam later we were back home at about 10:30PM.   I took a pain pill and went right to bed.

I also strained the shoulder and knee that have been improving up to now.   I see my chiropractor on Thursday and will take her advice.   I do not have black eyes but my nose looks like I got into a good fight.  Fortunately, when I wear my glasses, which I can if I balance them carefully, it is not obvious.   This is important ONLY because when I went to see Mom she did not notice.   I don't want her to worry.

I did go to bible study and to see Mom.   When I got home I took a nice long nap after lunch and will be way ready for bed tonight.   I am going to take a nice warm bath to try to settle the aches in my shoulder and knee then use cold when I go to bed.

So pray for your clutzy friend and relative.   I do generally heal quickly.

Until tomorrow.

A day at home.

It was a bit warmer.  Nicky and I had a good walk this morning.  We walked all the way down to the end of the tract and back.    And his little feet did not get upset.

I went out to Rhine Plymouth today to start the pistol league.   Several of my friends were there and glad to see me.   Makes the trip worth while.  Jerry Coenen went down with me when I finally was able to go.  A couple of the guys took 10 targets each and were down there a really long time.  Didn't matter to me.    Jerry was able to  give me some good tips and reminders when I did go down.   My targets were not bad at all.  It has been almost a year since I shot, so I am very pleased.

I talked to some of my family today, Barbara, Richard and Bret today so I feel fulfilled.  Sound silly, but I miss being close to them.

Busy day ahead tomorrow.   So must hope for a good sleep.  Last night was really rough.  I couldn't get comfortable and did not sleep very well.    Always look for the best thought.  Tonight will be better.
