Whew.

Another hot day in Wisconsin.

Today, this last day in July, was a busy day.    I can't believe that in six weeks, I will be in Cornwall.   Yippee.

I did some general cleaning and work on the house today.   Friends who are thinking of possibly downsizing to a condo, looked at the house today.   I think there will be interest in it.   Two people told me to let them know if I get ready to sell.   I can only remember one:(

I went to the Sheboygan Visual Artists  Small Works event tonight with a neighbor, Jan  She is a talented artist in her own right.  I had sold four raffle tickets, including my own, so have four lovely pieces of art.  I can present Dolores and Jeff with theirs tomorrow and  Jean, another neighbor hers, when I see her.  I love this event.   Your raffle ticket gives you a specific piece of art which you can exchange during the evening, if you want, for one you like better.   I have four that I would be happy to have so the three other people can just pick what they want.

Guess that is all.

It is hot and muggy in Wisconsin.   Could be worse as I look around the country.

the past two days have been full.  Tuesday I went to the Doctor and he has let me know that I will Not need surgery to pin the bone in my foot.   I am out of the big surgical boot and in a surgical shoe which took me a day to adjust to.   I figure I will start driving again on Saturday.  I can go to Mass and will be safe with that.

Yesterday, I was busy all day and then went to 52 Stafford in the evening to join my Celtic Friends, enjoy the music and we celebrated my Mom.   Several of them knew her and were so glad to do that.   We were all so blessed to have her in our lives.

Today was quiet.  I actually slept well last night.  Hope tonight I do as well.   It was just that when I would wake up, I KNEW that I had slept and did not feel that I was trying to sleep.

We had our weekly Tallgrass gathering in the open space.  Just six of us because it was so hot, but in the shade with a breeze it was quite pleasant.

Tomorrow I need to get to the Ebco Art Works event from 4: to 8:   Don't need to be there for the whole time but need to be there.  One of my art pieces is in the small works raffle.

Talked toLeslie today.  They are well.  If anybody wants any art piece or piece of furniture before I move.   Let me know.

Today Mom was buried

I am so conflicted.   I am full of joy for her journey and the fact that she is safe in heaven with God and our Dad.   But I know that I will be missing her.    I am so glad that I have been in Wisconsin these past 29 years.   It was special to be  able to be a part of her growing old as I was gone for so much of the middle years.   The Mass was lovely.   Fr.   Mike Shea was our priest.   That made it so special because he loves her too.   I think the readings were well selected and certainly were read beautifully by my nieces, Jessie, Erin and Britt.  Many of the grandchildren were a  part of the service.   Mother must be so pleased.

After the ceremony at the cemetery all who could had dinner together at the church.   The Church ladies did such a good job of getting everything set out and prepared.

I am totally exhausted now and will be going to bed now.   Hope I can sleep.

A quiet Sunday

I am quite happy that it was.

Tomorrow will be the funeral for my Mom.   I assume that everything is done now.  It is a matter of going through the ceremonies that meant so much to her and mean so much to us as we say goodbye.

She will have a Mass and interment and a luncheon that will bring story after story of this wonderful woman that I have been blessed to call my mother for 75 years.   How many people have that privilege.

Bless us all, those who are able to be here, and those who cannot come,
