A Haiku Just for you

Sunshine.  Peace and Joy.
I've chosen to share today
With all those I love!!!!!!

The explanation points do NOT count as syllables.

It was a gorgeous day in Lawton Oklahoma.   In the upper 80s and DRY.   I could be very happy with this all year long:)

Mary came to clean and Nate came to mow.  So my home is "spit and polished" for the week.

Barbara is doing well.  Still has a long way to go so keep praying for her.   Today, Bart and Barb had a day of rest.   Just them, healing.  Tomorrow I will bring BRUNCH to them.

With a long holiday weekend, it gives Barb a longer healing window.

Bless our service people who are honored this weekend.   My sweetheart was one of those.

It was a beautiful day today.  Up in the 80s, dry and  not at all humid.  Beautiful Sunshine.

Barbara had her knee surgery this morning and is home safe and sound.   Well, not exactly sound.   She is sore and sick but the deed is done.   I took some soup and flowers over but did not stay as Bart is taking care of her needs and she really needs rest to heal.

THanks for all the prayers

A wonderfully productive day.

It was rather warm but not hot and a little humid but we did not get any rain.   Looks pretty dry tonight too, at least her in Lawton.

I made a pot of chicken dumpling soup to take to Bart and Barb tomorrow.   Remember to pray for a successful surgery.  Barb has surgery on her knee in the morning.  They have to be there by 9AM.

I also started on assembling the book of "Poems" Psalms" that will be written by the Bible Study at Holy Family.   We did this at Blessed Trinity when we studied Psalms so I  suggested that we do it here.   Guess who has the job of getting it all assembled?   Dick always said I had "Pick Me" on my forehead and since I was the one who suggested it, it is logical anyway.   I enjoy things like this.  It is fun.   I already have 1/3 of the participants poem/psalms and have another week to collect.

Bless you all.    Until tomorrow.

Hot and humid

I was promised hot and DRY when I moved here:)    Hot and dry would be much easier on the arthritic joints.    It was in the high 80s and humid as heck.

Bart says just wait.   Hot and dry will come and the 80s will seem cool.

Had Bible Study today, so went to morning Mass also.   We are studying Psalms, so I suggested that the participants writ a Psalm or poem and said that I would put it into a booklet of OUR Psalms as we did in the Blessed Trinity Bible Study.   The Psalms are rolling in so I will get to work on the format.

After I left there, I picked up Bart and we went to lunch at Applebees.  Both had salads that were delicious.  Bart took me to his friend Steve's Optical store so I could get my upgraded glasses ordered.  Then we went to the Mall and I got my phone fixed.   I had dropped it and cracked the screen.  Now it if fixed AND I bought a case to provide protection from that , hopefully.   Oklahoma has not been easy on me as far as phones.   Remember?   I dropped one into the toilet a couple months ago.

Got a call from my friend Janet this morning just before I left home.  Then my friend, Pat, called this afternoon.  She saw the picture of Mom and me in an ad for the Meals on Wheels June a Palooza event and thought of me.
Finally, niece Suzi called to wish  me a belated birthday and to just talk.   I feel loved.

A lovely day.

Went to the 8:30AM Mass.   I am glad that the morning Mass here is that early.   I prefer going to Mass on Sunday.   St. St. John's I went on Saturday evening because the Mass was at 10AM and it was too late in the day in my liking.   Boy, am I ever picky.

The rest of the day at home.    It was quiet.   Jeff called to wish me Happy Birthday.   He knew he was a day late, but we don't care.

Then, I spent the afternoon sewing and then prepared dinner for Bart and Barb and me.   I had picked up some swordfish in Wichita Falls and invited them to join me for the feast.   I got to eat with someone else two days in a row.   It is a lot more fun with someone to talk to.

Guess that is all.   This week is looking rather quiet, except for Wednesday when I have Bible Study AND  Bart is going with me to an optician to have my new glasses made.

Have a great week.  Can't believe that it is almost Memorial Day.  We are supposed to be having more rain for the first three days of this week.   Will it never end?
