A good day.   I went to my friend Joan for a reflexology treatment.   That is such a relaxing thing.   We always have the best visits also.   She had shoulder surgery not long ago and I was her guinea pig for doing the treatments again.   I told her she should stop or change what she was doing any time it seemed necessary.  She has a couple scheduled for next week also.

I have the hotel confirmed for the conference.   Whew.

Tonight I went pistol shooting.   Didn't do too well but had a good time and visited with a couple of good friends.  I bought one of their old Beer Blast tshirts for a nightgown.   They are selling them for $2.  and a 2X makes a good one.    I said nightgown to Murphy   (Bobbie will appreciate this)  He told me that I shouldn't talk about nightgowns around him as it puts pictures in his head.   He is such a fun guy.

So after a walk with my buddy dog, I will cover myself with warm and cold packs and go to bed.

Tomorrow is the Wild Game Dinner.

Just back from Choir

Home all day and I believe that I now have the hotel for our Gathering.   After several tries, we have one that will meet our needs.  It is also not so expensive for our members.   This can make a difference to several, as they are on fixed income.  So I am jazzed.   Will firm it up tomorrow.

Fr. Dan brought the choir treats tonight so we all went down after practice for cheese, crackers, cookies, veggie tray, wine. juice and coffee.   He is generous.   Practice went well and it was nice to visit afterwards.   I did not stay long because I am tired.

Good thing.  Nicky was eager to get outside and had a lot of "business" to do.   It is nice to have such a happy welcome when one comes home.   Not so nice to have to face the cold.

So until tomorrow

Busy Day

I was really busy today and am tired but only "kind of " sore.   Bed will feel good though.

I went to the post office, the bank and grocery shopping today.  I have everything I need to make the venison roast for the Wild Game Dinner on Saturday.   I also have a couple of bottles of wine to bring for us non beer drinking "serving wenches."

I believe I have the lodging for the Gathering decided, I just need an OK from my committee.

I baked some almond butter cookies this afternoon.    I have not had cookies in the house for a few weeks and they are my favorite dessert.

So after cleaning out a cupboard and the kitchen counters, I am ready for a good night's sleep.   Nicky seems to do just fine at any time.

Until tomorrow.

A busy day at home

I am narrowing down the hotel for the gathering.   I am down to three - Actually two.
Tomorrow I will have all the facts and consult with the committee to reserve.

I also have determined my September trip to Cornwall.   I will be going either the 13th or the 20th of September.   If someone is going with me, I will go the 20th as there are four spaces left on that tour, otherwise, I am going on the 13th which only has one opening.

Anyway, tomorrow is a midday full of errands.  I have the morning to do some deep cleaning and bookwork.

So It is really almost time for bed and I have to get ready and batten things down.

HI

Took a day off yesterday.

Today was quite nice.   There were only three of us at Bible Study today, but our Ione was back after her surgery so we did not complain.   Helen  Morgan, Ione and I did quite well.

A story.  I went to pick up hosts to take communion to Mom and her fellow Catholic residents at Meadow View.   I got the key and opened the sacristy and there were NO HOSTS.   The Holy Dusters then came up and told me that on Sunday,  Fr. Bob had to spend the morning at Koher, St. John's and had asked another priest to fill in at Blessed Trinity.    He did not come.   Here was a full church with no priest, so they put together a Communion service and shared the hosts that were blessed at the service.  They said that people were getting teeny weeny pieces, but all received communion.  All that was left in the chalice was about a tablespoon of dust.   So.   I was unable to bring Jesus to Meadow View today.   Mom and those who understand found the story quite interesting and know I will be back next week.   Some of my little people don't necessarily know what day it is anyway, bless their sweet souls.

Home again, I took care of my Nicky.  Bart called and we had a good talk before I had to go to my chiropractor for an adjustment.   I think it helped, my shoulder and neck feel pretty good.   Hope she didn't rile things up for tomorrow.

So another busy Monday.   Tomorrow I should be home all day and intend to get the CWI Gathering Hotel sewed up.    Pray for me.  With that done, my job is really finished.
