Cold is coming in.

I was supposed to be home all day.  BUT I walked into the kitchen this morning and saw a MOUSE running across my counter.  SO I had to go out to get mouse traps and bait.   EEEEWWWWWWW

I am all prepared to be home tomorrow.  It looks like the worst of the rain and sleet and freezing will be north of us, but it is nice to be prepared.

Tomorrow I will make the pastry for the pasties  and some scones.

Living alone with only a dog for companion is making me very loud.  I find that if I have to , for example, burp, I no longer stifle it.   Must remember to be more ladylike in public:)

Bible Study was lovely today.   We had decided last week to choose a "word" rather than a resolution for 2017.    We shared them today.  There were no duplicates - WOW.   I will supply the list to our members next week to add to our psalm prayer book.

Saw Dr. Toy today.  I needed an adjustment but we still feel that once a month is good unless something goofy happens.  I also have been fitted for shoe inserts which should help the arthritic pain.

Another warm day.

Just got home from Writer's Club.   I finally have been able to write a bit.   Christmas season really brought my "creativity" down.    But I will not let it keep me down.

My housecleaner, Leah, came today.   So the house is sparkling and she helped me get all the Santa's down from their perch on high above the couch.   I am taking Christmas down a little at a time this year.

Another warm day tomorrow and I will be busy with Bible Study and a visit to the chiropractor.

Stay well and warm.   My friend, Joan, called today and told me that they had 6 inches of snow that has turned to ice, so she was tucked in her warm home and staying there.

It was in the high 50s today and is going to get even warmer until Friday.   Then the cold is coming back with a vengeance.   Hope this doesn't stop my visitors from coming.    Safety first though.

Just got back from Quilt Guild.    The Quilt show is next week.  Look at http://www.wmqg.net/ to find out all about it.    Had a good time.     Love to have people to talk to in the evening and we had a neat speaker who showed us how to sew curves.

I was home all day today.    Made a batch of Minestrone soup for next weekend and finished the things I wanted to  finish for the Quilt Guild.

I watched the Packers play the Giants.   Packers won handily in an exciting game.   I love watching the game but hate watching it alone.  I called Kathy towards the end so I had someone to celebrate with.
