This morning, Nicky and I walked in really comfortable temps.  It was 68 on my thermometer and we really enjoyed it.  I did not go through the park as it had rained really heavily during the night and I don't like coming home with my shoes soaked.    Nate mowed my lawn last evening, so the rain was well timed.

Barb and I went to a Wichita Mountain Quilt Guild sit and sew last night.   It was fun.  One can work on one's own project or do the project that is offered.  I did the Wonky Who Log, that was offered.  It is cute. I should finish my small work tomorrow.   If I ever figure it out, I will start posting pictures again.    It is a cute Owls on a log type background.    I always like spending time with Barb and got to know some quilt people better.

Mary came to clean later this afternoon. She usually comes in the morning but I have no problem with later.  I am just glad that I don't have to do it.  My neck has been bothering me.  I had an adjustment yesterday by my chiropractor but still am uncomfortable.   At least, I am not getting the headaches   Dr. Toy says I am almost "perfect" and only needs to see  me once a month at this point.   He has done wonders for me.

At any rate, I did not have to go anywhere today, so finished up several small unfinished projects.  I am taking some free coursed through futurelearn.com.   I am finishing up a course on A History of Royal Feasting and will be starting a genealogy course on Monday..   Thanks to my friend Maureen who introduced me to this site.   I finished a Robert Burns course already.

I got to spend the afternoon with Bart and Adria and Abby.   We picked up the girls from and Art Camp at Cameron University at about noon and took them bowling and for a snack.  They have not bowled much and I was so impressed with their performance.  They caught on really quick.

Then we went back to Bart's.   We just visited until Barb got home.  She had an appointment for her knee and it was GOOD.   I came home then to take care of my Nicky.

It is still hot, but we MAY get rain tonight.

I liked today.

Had Mass and Bible Study this morning.     I left the house at 9AM because Fr. Phil never starts mass until at least 10 after 9, except today as it turns out it was a memorial mass for a deceased parishioner.

We are still discussing the readings for the Mass for the following Sunday as some still do not have the book for the book study we are doing next.   I handed out the little book of Psalms that our members wrote today.   Fr. Phil came to visit us for  minute so I was able to give him his copy.   Told him there was no Imprimature but he was not too shocked at that:)   He looked a bit surprised.

Then I came home and waited for Bill and his sister, Kim, and her husband, Ted, to come to pick up the Richardson desks and the motorized wheel chair.   They got here at about 2PM and were all loaded and we had a short visit before they left at 4:30PM.   A real Bonzai trip, but Bill promised to come again -with Leslie and hopefully, John, Sara and Matthew for just a visit.                                    Oh No   Now I have to organize the garage:)

Tomorrow I have nothing scheduled at all.   I will spend part of it with Bart and my great grandaughters, Arria and Abbie.   LUCKY ME!

Another hot day and they are not going to let up.

My neighbor's, Bob and Peggy Hurrie, daughter passed away.    Please pray for them and her.

Bill Smith and his sister and brother in law are coming tomorrow to pick up the desks and the wheel chair.   It will be good to see him.

I was busy all day and am beginning to settle down.

Want to share the following:   I read that when Thoreau was dying, his aunt asked him if he had made peace with God.   Thoreau answered,  "I did not know we had ever quarreled."    I hope I can say that.

Busy day.   Hot one too.
I finished the "Psalm" booklets for the Bible Study Class on Wednesday.   Had them copied at Office Max, then got them home and realized my stapler wouldn't work    Ever inventive, I punched holes int he rib and tied them with yarn.   They are fine.

Barbara and I went to the Wichita Mountain Quilt Guild meeting.  Had a great time.  I share Aunt Helen's Flower Garden quilt,   the one we found the pieces for in the Deeley house when she passed and that I put together.   I will let them display it in the quilt show next year.

So.   Time for bed now.

Hot summer Oklahoma days continue.   We had that nice rain the other night so it is humid.

I went to church this morning but spent the rest of the day at home.   Monday morning I will be busy, but the rest of the week is relatively quiet.  Bill Smith and his sister and brother in law will probably be coming to pick up the desks this week sometime.   Darn - Then I will have to set up the garage:)   Have had the perfect excuse to ignore it:)

Prayers for our world.    Sad the violence all around our country and HOW in the WORLD have we ended up with Clinton and Trump for our presidential candidates?

I liked the quote of the day.
