Home all morning.   Nicky and I went out for a couple of longer "outings" as I had to let him exercise enough to do you know what.   He was much more interested in the warmer (you notice that I did not say WARM) weather.   I still kept him close to home because Mark had salted the roads and that can be really rough on his little feet.

The Sheboygan CWI group had our Book Discussion today.   We all brought books that we thought were interesting this time and chose Trinity by Uris for the next discussion in November.   There were six of us.   At first it looked like there would only be three.   'We have usually had 6 to 8.   Wish we could get more as the discussions are all so good.

I went directly to Mass where I was a wine minister.   I always love that.  So home again.   I am tired and ready to settle down for the night.  Nicky is sleeping already at my back on the chair at the desk.   He does not seem at all concerned about switching sleeping spots.

Tomorrow we get to be home all day.   Yee Haa.

I am ready.

Had a good day.   It was frigid this morning.    It did warm up into temperatures in the actual teens bit the wind was brutal.

I was home all morning.   A friend came over to use my printer.   Her computer doesn't go internet and she needed a copy of something off a site.   Odd I know, but she can't afford internet access right now and needed this thing to help financially.

Then I drove to Pier 17 in Sheboygan to meet with another friend, my Celtic friend, Luann, to work on the announcement for the Gathering and to get some input as to the program details.   We have accomplished a lot.  I believe the invitation will go out on Sunday.

Home again, the roads were slippery.   It had been snowing, a wet fluffy light snow since I left the house.   Just enough to make the roads treacherous.   I stopped at Walmart on the way home for a bathroom rug for the hall bathroom.   Nicky likes to sleep there because it has a heater vent and is warm.  I had tossed the old rugs away.   I put a towel down but figured he deserves a nice fluffy rug.
He was delighted and tested it immediately.    What a cutie he is.

If anybody needs Irish tshirts.   Walmart has them for around $5.00.    I got one for a nightgown.   Now I am stocked up on nightgowns again.    I love fancy tshirt jammies.

Tomorrow is the book discussion group and I will go to Mass afterward.

There is a neat event at the Sheboygan County History Museum, but I have decided that I am trying to do too much so will regretfully pass on that.    I just hate to miss things.

Bitter Cold and worse tomorrow

It was single digits all day today and minus zero with the wind.    Nicky seems to be catching on and kind of hurries.   Tomorrow is supposed to be worse.   It makes my joints hurt.

Isn't the Westminster Champ, the Beagle, Miss P cute.   She is so perky and absolutely relishing in her fame.  Thanks for letting me know it was on, Richard and Brenda.  I LOVE that show.

Home most of the day.  I did go grocery shopping.   I was going to go on the way to church for Ash Wednesday services but am picking up  my neighbor, Peggy.      Can't see taking her to the store with me, so I got it done with this afternoon.

I worked on the book and did some sewing on my Black Pig wall hanging.  Got to figure out the tail tomorrow.

I have a broken toilet seat.   Need to get a repair or a new seat tomorrow too.   I got two refund checks from Aurora for services for Dick back in 2012.   See. he is still taking care of me.

Just another Manic Monday.    And it was.     I started off with Bible Study.   We are now meeting in the old St. Mary's School which is now Blessed Trinity's Catholic Life Center.   There was a bit of confusion, but we all got there and now that we "know the way" it will be easy.   Not being a member of Blessed Trinity any longer, I had wondered why they had not moved us there when they closed the school.

We had a very dynamic conversation.   Read the last half of Acts 19 if you are interested.   None of us remembered hearing this before.   Guess it is not read on any Sunday.   Typical case of industries about to lose their source of income losing it.  Our question was What would happen to our economy if we followed the Word of God.    Got US all going.

Then I went to visit Mom.   She is doing quite well.  I brought her Aunt Mary Ann's Obituary and that pleased her.   We always have a good visit.

Then I met my friend Peg at the Exchange Bank.  She is the poet I met when our husbands were both patients at Plymouth Care.    I had not seen her since last year.    Lots has happened with us both.   We also have our mother's quite aged with us.

We went then to the Cream City Writers meeting.   That was eventful.  Good readings, then your mouthy scribe, told one of our poet/singers that though we love his poems/songs - we don't need a long sermon or political rampage after each reading.   I did not word it that way.   But he did not hear me.  I could tell he felt that I was attacking his writing.  I have received support from others who thanked me for stepping up.  I am considering not going if he cannot contain himself.  AND I really like the guy AND enjoy hearing his works.

Woe is me.

Tomorrow is much quieter.  Good.  I have a couple of projects that NEED to be accomplished.   What happened to retirement.

Yea

It was a super day.    I started off with Mass at 9:30AM.    The choir sang so I had to be there at 9 and was almost late because Mr. Nicky took so long doing his business.   I couldn't blame him and didn't want to rush him because it was to blasted cold.

We sang like angels.   Well not really but we did feel good about our singing worship today.   Scott has picked out some really super songs for Lent and pre Lent and I thought we amateurs stepped up to the plate.    A lovely mass.   Next Wednesday is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent already.   Whew.   The year is going so fast.

Got home in plenty of time to give Nicky another opportunity which he chose not to take before Bobbie and Bill picked me up for the dinner theater.    An easy drive with no snow and the wind somwhat died down.  We had, as usual, a good meal.   I especially liked the twice baked potato and the cheese soup.   Then there was the Cream Puff we had at intermission.  The play was a comedy revolving around an elevator in an old hotel in Milwaukee.   It was VERY funny.   The author was there and took questions afterwards.   Not too many questions actually but he was very articulate as were the actors.

Home again by 5PM.   Nicky was happy but still barked at them.   He settled next to me while we visited quite contented.  He is improving but will just have to get used to people coming in and out.   It isn't like the old days with more house residents to begin with and more activity.

Tomorrow is going to be another busy Monday.   The whole week is pretty busy.   I hope I can keep next week more clear.
