It got up to 67 degrees today.   Felt a bit cooler with the wind, but a welcome day.

I made the cranberry relish this afternoon,   That way it can mature and not be sugary on Thanksgiving.    I am glad Alexia asked for it because I might have forgotten or just decided it was a ME thing.

Went to Bart and Barb's this afternoon to visit with Marlies who is staying with them for a couple of days.     She had knee replacement last Thursday and needs someone with her.    Her son, Fred, is coming tomorrow or Monday and will take over for Barbara.   Marlies said that the doctor said she could go home on Wednesday.

She looks good but experiences pain a lot.     Time and therapy will help.

Am home again and settling down for the evening.    Talked to Jim.   He is PLANNING to come for Thanksgiving.     Good.   I love all my kids and miss those who are not here.

It was cold again today.      I did go out once.    Had to have my port flushed.   Next time will be next year, would you believe.

I also stopped at Hallmark and cashed in a bunch of coupons and credits on Cards and stuff.

I spent the rest of the day at home working on projects.   I finished my first crocheting project in probably 35 years today.    A lap robe.    I can see errors but it is warm and will be nice for someone.   Now I am starting to feel comfortable with the stitches again.

A quiet weekend for me ahead.

Marlies had a successful knee surgery.    I hope they will ask for help if they need it.    I will offer again.     Perhaps a meal.   or transportation  or "Marlies Sitting"
.

The weather woman said that it was an icky day today.    Didn't bother me.    I went grocery shopping between showers and was home in my warm little house the rest of the time.   Being retired does have its advantages.

Spent the rest of the day working on various projects and fine tuning planning for the holidays.    I am making Figgy Hobbin, Pumpkin pie and Cranberry Relish for the Thanksgiving dinner.    Glad people like my cooking.   I will make the relish this weekend as it needs time to mature.

The next few days are pretty quiet.   I get my port flushed tomorrow and will stop at Hallmark to use up some coupons for Christmas.

Love you all

A mixed weather day.   Not too warm, not to cold.   Sprinkles in the morning a light rain in the afternoon.    We need the rain so badly.   I hope we get more.

Went to Mass this morning before Bible Study.   Bible Study was lively.    We had lots of things to talk about then read II Corinthians,   our last study which always chooses certain sections, from the beginning to the end.      We figured that was a good way to wind up that particular study.

We will not meet next week because it is the day before Thanksgiving.

Bart came to visit this afternoon.   I always like that.     Someone in the house and someone special.

I have a couple of sewing projects almost done.    Should finish them by Sunday.

It was a beautiful November day,   well up into the 70s and sunny.     I was supposed to be home all day until Writer's Club but got a call from my dentist.    My Thursday appointment was cancelled but they could see me this afternoon.    So I went and now have the cleanest teeth in town:)

I did a lot of work on some of the projects that I have started too.   I should finish two of the five by the end of the week.

Writer's Club was fun.   Four of us were there and I heard chapters from three books and they listened to four poems that I had prepared.    I am finally starting to get some inspiration now and am feeling much better about things.    Now if my Nicky was still here.

I have decided that after Thanksgiving, I will begin a search for another doggy.     Somebody must need me out there.

It was quite a pleasant day today.   Sunny a bit, not too windy and the temperatures were comfortable, in the mid 60s.

I went to the 8:30AM Mass.   Always good and then I had coffee and === after  Mass so that I could visit a bit with people.

Home again, I took a nap.   I was still tired from yesterday and really had trouble sleeping last night.  I have been working on several projects, bills and communications this afternoon.

Talked to Bart but that is the only voice I heard this afternoon.   I am so glad we have decided to touch base EVERY day.     He is a great guy,
