It was a full day.   I am exhausted and today I am very lonely.

I felt that way early.   I was busy all morning but this afternoon just had to get out of the house.   So I went to JMKAC for their ethnic English  Family Festival.   I did all of the children's crafts.   I made a paper doll that will be included in the big burn on Nov. 5, Guy Fawkes Day.  I could have taken him with me, but figured he should have a purpose in this world.

I made a silver crown with jewels on it and designed a Coat of Arms for me.   I put thistles and a bird on it.

I had planned my trip there to be so that I could get to St. John's for Mass this evening.   Mary Kay had asked me if I could sub for communion,   and you know how I like that.

So here I am.   Tomorrow I will be going to UCC for the Annual SAmhain dinner.

I have not heard from too many people, so I hope they just come.

Friday

This was a good Friday.  I picked up a prescription at the Clinic to take to Walgreen's to be filled.

I filled the prescription and then went to have lunch with my bank friends.
That was fun but is it always so much food.   I have enough for lunch tomorrow too.   I had to get some more fluids for my Roxie too.   She will probably be very disappointed in me.   Poor baby.

Tomorrow will be quiet too.   I only have Mass outside of the house.    Sunday will be Samhain with CWI.  So I will be making colcannon for the harvest dinner..   I am also digging the insides out of a huge rutabaga to make a Jack o Lantern.

Until tomorrow

News

Sad but good news.   My dear sister in law, Jacquie, passed away last night.   She had been pretty much in a sleep state since Monday night.   She was not alone, Todd was there and she just simply stopped breathing.   So a peaceful death for a wonderful lady.    I am glad that she is no longer sick and in pain.   She is with her George and they are happy.   The celebration of her life will be in a couple of months because of her choice.   Her body has been donated and they will receive the cremains when all is done.    Vikki and Todd and Jennifer are planning on celebrating Jacquie and
Doris together.

This is a hard time as we are never really ready, but knowing that a loved one is whole again sure does help.

Please pray for my Todd and  family.

Other than the above,  my day itself was pretty quiet except for phone calls.   I did clean the garage and bring in my planters from the deck.  I cleaned the two trash barrels and Roxie's litter box.  So it was not a lost day.

I had the nicest evening.   My neighbors, Bob and Peggy invited me to join them in a wine and food pairing at the Black Pig in Elkhart Lake.   It was such fun.  I learned a lot and got to actually taste pork belly and polenta as they are supposed to be served.

I am up later than usual and am very tired.  So this is all you are getting tonight.

Home

I was able to stay at home most of the day and in the neighborhood ALL day.

Just after I woke up, I received a call from my niece Vikki about Jacquie.    Jacquie now has pneumonia on top of all her other heath crises and has been taken off of any life support devises.  I have been praying all day and let the boys know.   I am praying that her journey to the other side is easy.    Mother says that Jacquie has no worries about heaven as she took care of so many souls while she was able.   We have been friends for 53 years at least.   I have been so privileged.

I spent the day washing and working on paying bills and stuff like that.

At 3PM I went over to the Hurrie's for our condo board meeting.   I got home shortly after 4PM and have been pretty much lazing around.   It is nice to not have big projects for one day.

Todd called this evening.   He is doing well- he said he will call me later.   Please keep him and his Mom in your prayers this evening.

I am done for the evening.   Tomorrow will be a bit busier.

What a great Sunday.    Jana and Sally are still here and will be leaving in the morning for the Braille Conference in Milwaukee.

It was so great to have people in the house since yesterday.    Some one to talk to  and do things with.

We drove to Manitowoc late this morning to go to the cemetery to find the graves of some of Jana's husband Tim's relatives.   Tim was born in Manitowoc.   We had fun roaming the cemetery and found several stones for her to catch.

We stopped at Legend Larry's for lunch and got to see the last quarter of the Packer game.   Yea Packers.   They really whipped Carolina bad today.

Tomorrow back to normal.   Will have the Cream City Writer's meeting.   We are going out to Don Cooper's home, he likes us to see his beautiful woods at this time of year.

So until tomorrow
