The first day this week that I was able to stay home all day.    I  KNOW Nicky likes that.    But of course he doesn't have the excitement of me coming home:)

Didn't do much but putter around.  I felt that I was occupied but couldn't tell you what I accomplished.

Tomorrow is St. Patrick;s Day.  It will be a busy day, starting with 8:30AM Mass.

Just got home from the Apache Casino.   No - I have not taken up gambling.    They had the Mc Taggert Irish Dancers from Oklahoma City doing a show and Marlies invited me to go with her.

We had a lovely evening.  A good meal and a great show.   Then we hung around a bit for the crowds to dispurse.   I watched a short Irish Dancer show up in the gambling area and Marleis  gambled.   She really enjoys it and we are still home by 10PM.   Late for me but if I was doing more not late at all.

Anyway.   I am going to bed now and hope I am tired enough to sleep through the night.

Went to the dentist today for my temporary crown.    Took over two and a half hours.  I a still exhausted.

Have to go back in three weeks for the permanent crown which should be pretty much a slam dunk.

My Leslie had her surgery and it went well.  Please pray for a quick recovery for her.

Tomorrow is twice busy.   I need my port flushed and then will go to my Celtic Group meeting at 2PM.

Then in the evening I am going with Marlies to see Irish Dancers at the Casino.   Something Irish at last.

A very busy two days.

Yesterday, I had a haircut appointment at 10AM.   So left the house at 9:30AM.    Got off from that in time to do a bit of shopping at Walmart then home for lunch and a rest.

Then on to see Dr. Aiku, my primary provider, at 2PM.    She prescribed a new arthritis med and want to see me in a month.     We are assuming that it is arthritis and the weather that cause my pain and inability to really get a good night;s sleep.

Then Writer's Club in the evening.  Good readings from my fellow writers,   I read some old poems of mine and then sang an Irish song for them:)    Nice to have an audience.   I miss  52 Stafford:)

Today, I had an appointment with Dr. Toy, my chiropractor at 9:15AM.    He had quite a bit of work to do and will see me next week.   Before I got the pneumonia, I was only seeing him once a month.   That event really did a job on me.

The at 10:00AM I was at Holy Family for Bible Study.   Actually we are doing a book study right now on a book called Forty Anti Catholic Lies.    It is stimulating a lot of discussion.     Today on Priesthood and married or women priests.

Spent the rest of the day washing and resting.

I was able to stay home all day today but will be going to Quilt Guild tonight.

Bart stopped by for a bit so I had company.   Yea.    He is so good about checking up on me.    Barb is still fighting her ear infection so will not go to guild tonight.   She baked brownies for the meeting and I will pick them up and take them.

I did some cleaning.   The pantry is really clean and I swept the entry hall and vacuumed all the mats at the doors and by the sink.      Kerry, my cleaning lady, had dental work done and couldn't come last week so I did the bathrooms and what needed to be done but wonder when she will be back.    I'll call her tomorrow.    I still can't vacuum with my shoulders and hips as sore as they are.

Nothing else exciting.   Good thing after my exciting wonderful weekend.

What a marvelous weekend with my sister, Nora, her husband, their son, Stenn and his wife, Bing, and my brother George and his wife Betsy.    This is the 4th year we have gathered in Plano and taken the train to Fair Park on that first Saturday in March for the Texas Irishfest.

We converged on Friday afternoon and went out for dinner.   Then Saturday, which was the most beautiful day that could be expected, we went to the Irish Fest.  We all did out thing, seeing musicians, wonderful dancers and vendors up the wazoo.

My brother George, who is in the middle of treatments, is doing quite well.   He is a trooper and always full of joy.    He and I walked all over those fair grounds and did what we WANTED  to do.   His Betsy is a true jewel.

We left the park at about 4:30PM to get back to Leif and Nora's house for Shepherd's Pie make especially for us by our Stenn.  Bing brought Chinese dumplings too.   With the Hor de vours that Nora served while the rest of the meal was served, we were properly stuffed.

We ended the evening with the second annual Whiskey Tasting Contest.  George, Leif, Stenn and I were the participants,   Betsy, Nora and Bing did the serving and scoring.     Uncle George won for the second time with two right our of the four.   I am proud to say that I DID get one right.

Sunday we gathered again just for a moment to say goodby before we travelers, headed for home.

I had an uneventful trip  except that it rained most of the way.    We realy did need the rain here in Lawton..   Stopped once to eat something and was at Bart and Barb's to pick up Nicky by 2PM.    Barb is much better but still weak as a kitten.  I wish she could regain some strength.

Nicky was very glad to see me and to come home.   He is a good little friend.
