Today was a busy day.

This morning I had to get my port flushed.   Everything was just fine and I don't have to go back for 6 weeks now.  It has been every month.

This afternoon at 2PM was the Lawton Celtic Meeting.    It was quite successful this time.   We had 7 people there.   I shared my walking sticks and my shillelagh and my spear..   Robbi brought a walking stick too.     We had an animated conversation and decided to talk about Easter in Ireland next month.    After the fact but we don't care.   We operate on Irish time:)

I got their fish and chips dinner as it is Friday and I wanted fish which I do not have in the house.   It is Friday in Lent, you know.   I cannot fast but I can abstain from meat on Fridays.

So a good day and I am winding down.

I was able to stay home all day today.   What a joy for my Nicky.    He hates it when I leave.

He has been  bit down the past couple of week. I know he worried Bart and Barb when ehey watched him.   But suddenly, he is getting excited about his meals and being much more alert and happy.   Maybe the dental procedure knocked him down for a spell.

We have had temps ranging from the 60's t0 th 90's but this weekend we may get close to freezing and are getting rain, which we need.

Well, I'm home safe and sound.    It was a wonderful weekend.

My brother Jeff and his wife, Kathy, put up with me:) for the duration.

Jeff let me use his car on Friday to go to Sheboygan County to have lunch with Bobbie and Bill, get my reflexology treatment from my friend, Joan Kramer and have dinner with several of my Celtic Friends and as it turns out my Bible Study friends as Felicia and Joe also go to the Bible Study.

Saturday was the Wild Game Dinner and Beer Tasting Contest.     Donna and Eileen opted out of the contest to help me with the beer distribution and with the required "paper work".    We had 20 participants and 23 beers in the contest.     Denise, who won last year, won again and will again be our host next year.  The food was as usual spectacular.    Stew, enchiladas, pizza etc, etc all made with the game harvested by our intrepid hunters.  A wonderful happy day.

Sunday was quieter but great visiting time with Jeff, Kathy and my niece Sara who was also in Wisconsin for the Wild Game Dinner.    Great times.

Today I had my dentist appointment to put the permanent crown in.    Went well.   Glad that is over.   Now I have to get to some of my other "Maintenance" issues.   The more they are the older you get:)
