It was really warm today - almost 40 degrees.   The snow is really melting, though we may be getting more tonight.

Got a lot of clearing out done today.   I went down to the Art Center to pick up my fiber art piece, Wee Thatched Cottage.   I wanted to put a picture on but am having trouble picking it out of Picassa.   I am way to tired, so will try again tomorrow.

Was home the rest of the day until 3:30PM when I left for Mass.   Fr. Dan was with the confirmands so we had a guest priest.   He was interesting.   Had to be in Elkhart Lake for the 5:30PM mass.  He is not exactly a speed demon, hope he made it.

My Bret called today and we had a really nice talk.   He is doing well and is out tat the river this weekend.

Now, I just have to take Nicky out for one more bathroom opportunity, then I will go to bed.   I am so achy and have taken my pills so want them to get a chance to go to work.

Just got home from a lovely dinner with Nora and Leif at the Blind Horse in Kohler.   We have been meeting there for the past three years when they visit and kind of consider it "our place".   It was very lovely as usual.   We all enjoyed our dinners and the service was exceptional.  We drank the Blind Horse wines and they were pleasant as a whole.   It is always our chance to catch up and visit.

Next time they come, I plan on taking them to the Black Pig in Elkhart though.   By then, the Black Pig wall hanging that I am making should be done and they can  see my "art" :) hanging.

The early part of the day, I was busy all day except for my nap.   I was tired enough to sleep for an entire hour.   So I must have needed it.

So until tomorrow.

Just got home from choir.   A busy day at home and then the practice.   For some reason, my ribs are hurting again, so I have taken pills and am going directly to bed.

Tomorrow will be a less painful day, I am sure

Mushy day

There was snow this morning and the driveway is full.   Not enough for Mark to plow and I am too darned sore to shovel, so guess I will just have to pray for sun.

My cleaning lady has changed her day and was here this morning.   Nicky barked and barked at her when she came- we were in the office.    Later Nicky and I were walking around the kitchen and living room and he went up to her and even let her pet him quite happily.   Then when she was ready to leave, he and I were in the office again and he turned into Mr. Barky and even rushed at her, scared both of us.    We are wondering if, since we spend a lot of time sharing my desk share, he feels protective of me somehow.   When she comes next week, I am going to go in and greet her at the door.

Got a lot done for Mom and for the conference today.

At 12:30PM I went for physical therapy on my hips.  Jaren is still there.  I like him and he worked with Dick and also with me before.   He gave me two exercises to do for two weeks, then check back in with him.   He is always cognisant of co pays, bless his heart.

Home again, I rested for a bit then went over to the Hurrie's for the Tallgrass Board meeting.   We did not have much and accomplished it quickly.  Not much goes on in the winter, so we are meeting again in March.

I am really achy and frankly waiting until it is time to go to bed.

A usual busy Monday.

Bible study at 9:30AM.   We had a good group and got into a discussion on the horrors that people do to each other in the name of religion.   We have a lot of opinions and are trying to learn to use the example of Paul to let the world learn about a gently God, our God.

Had a really nice visit with Mom.   I brought her Birthday card and present today.   I will go on her birthday to join in the cake after the dinner in the MeadowView dining room.    Eileen has ordered a cake and Nora and Leif will be there too.

Jim and Michelle called Sunday.   We had such a good visit.   I had sent my boy his candy canes, as is tradition.   They told me all about their new dog Gracie.    They did mention that they are thinking of moving out of the tornado belt.    Not a bad idea if you ask me.

I went to the Cream City Writers meeting here in Plymouth.    I had not been able to go since last October.   I shared the book that is a result of the Artists and Poets in Cahoots exhibit at the Sheboygan Visual Artists.    It is always nice to share a success.   I read one of my older poems.   And was able to listen to poems and songs by my fellow writers.   A nice hour.

Now I am sore as heck and am going to bed.

Darn Darn Darn

Blast the Packers.    I was almost going to call Bret when the third quarter was in about 5 minutes, but thought, Naw,  better wait.   What a disappointment.   To come co close and then lose it in those last five minutes.     Well, Seattle fans are on a high.  (As if I care)   I even watched the whole game today, something I have not done often in the past two years.

I went to Mass this morning at 9:00AM - Mass was at 9:30AM but the choir practices for a bit before.   We did well, I think.  It was a lovely mass, I am always pleased to be an active part of the service.  There were donuts and coffee in the hall after Mass, so I joined Kate and a number of our choir members there.   That was fun.   On the way home, I stopped at the liquor store and picked up a bottle of Madeira  for Mom for her birthday present.    I think you know that she will be 99 on Wednesday.    I will bring her present when I go to see her on Monday, but will go back on her birthday at about 12:30PM to share her birthday cake with the residents and whomever of the family who can be there.  It is exciting that Nora and Leif are going to be here.   We will be going out on Friday for dinner.

A new week ahead with a full slate of goals.   That has its goods and its bads.   Without goals, I get loggy and sad, with too many, I get frantic.    This evening, I am not as achy as I have been.   My face is healing very well.   I am blessed with a body that does heal quickly.   So things are looking up.

Hope you have as good of a week ahead.
