"Faeries Dwell at the Bottom of My Garden" I saw a garden sign with that statement on it several years ago and should have purchased it at the time. I can't find it now of course. I like little sculptures and signs in my garden and would REALLY like that one. If anyone finds one, let me know.

It is now Memorial Day weekend SO next week I should be able to plant some flowers without danger of frost. Chelsea enjoyed rolling in some frost earlier this week so I am glad I didn't jump the gun.

Barbara, my daughter in law, graduates from UW Green Bay tomorrow. She has worked long and hard for this. Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!! Barb.

UPDATE Baghdad Zoo

I checked for an update on the condition of the Baghdad Zoo animals. It seems that things are BETTER but of course, over 500 animals are unaccounted for and those remaining are still in need of help. I feel that I can keep it a little bit alive with my little website. It always seems in war that the littlest and most helpless suffer the most and tragically at least one of the lions had to be destroyed to save human life. I fully understand but now we should be sure that food and care are there. I love the pictures. People are trying to help.

We have an "assignment" for writer's club next month. To write a short poem or paragraph about any of the following - Lust, Anxiety, Wonder, Hunger or Integrity.

I am experimenting. What do you think of this and which to you think it is?

Restless ants crawl relentlessly.
Sink into the mire.
Hurry, hurry, going nowhere.
Skin on fire.

The Flowering Crab trees are about to bloom and our tulips are providing beautiful color around the house.

The herb garden is planted and the deck is ready for warm balmy evenings of sitting out enjoying God's wonderful world. This morning Chelsea will attest to the fact that we had a really wonderful walk. She saw THREE other doggies out there. We do enjoy the early morning hours.

Do we realize how wealthy a community we live in? Blessed Trinity collected clothes for Repairers of the Breach in Milwaukee and puzzles for the Best of Friends Club and we sent so many they have room for no more and that is out of our leavings. I feel the need to pare down to a reasonable amount of material goods.

The beginning of another week. Each week is an adventure, isn't it? I always say bloom where you are planted and only boring people get bored. ( My boys used to get SO irritated with me.)

Go with joy.
