Such a nice day. The weather was beautiful. At eleven, I went to the Sheboygan Farmer's Market with my neighbor, Pat, so we could be there for the SCIO drawing for a trip to Ireland through Rip O'Dwanny's Harp and Eagle. Neither of us won, darn, but we had fun walking around the market. I picked up some potatoes, beets and kohlrabi.
Then we went to Vollrath Park to a Fundraiser Fry that some teens, were putting on for Angel Hugs. Pat and I had lunch and then visited a while before heading home.
I went to the 4PM Mass. I was one of the communion ministers so the mass, as it is then, was very special for me.
Yesterday, I took Nicky to the vet. His left eye was reddish and watering. She couldn't see anything like a scratch, but he is getting drops three times a day. He was SO very good there and just holds so still for the drops. Times like that, I forget what a goof he is around strangers.
So a good start to the weekend. I have slowed down a bit on packing, as I am a bit sore in the shoulder and decided I must be sensible. How long do you think that will last?

Cold
It felt cold today. The temps never got over 65 and there was a west wind. I kind of liked it. Should be interesting when I move to Oklahoma and it is almost always hot.
Well - it was a busy day. I left rather early this morning to drop things off, getting things out of the house. I went first to Office Max and turned in my empty ink cartridges. Greening the earth you know. Then to Woodlake to leave my dry cleaning at Imig's. Then finally to the Sheboygan County Historical Research Center to drop off my excess office supplies, that I have not used in years and see no sense in transporting. There may be more, but I am at least on a roll.
This afternoon I cleaned the garage a bit and stored some of the excess that will eventually go south on the far wall.
Went to the Tallgrass gathering, though it was way too cold, but Bob and I got a few Board things discussed as I will be leaving the board mid term.
So. Tired again. I sure get sick of that.

A REALLY busy day. Cleaning ladies came today and got up the accumulated dust from time and the painters.
I did several errands to drop donations at the Sharing Closet and Angel Hugs and did a bit of grocery shopping. I also packed a couple of boxes.
Needless to say, I am tired.
Tomorrow is turning out to be a bit busy also. Oh well, one day at a time.

I sure had trouble getting up this morning. Slept pretty well, after I iced down you hips and foot.
The guys finished painting today. The house is so fresh and except for all my clutter, ready to show. I will work on that the next couple of days, then call Allison. There are two houses near the kids that would work if I can get my price and they will accept my bids. It would be nice to be able to get going. See. Here is Mary - seeing the end of the project. I need to keep myself centered on TODAY.
Bible study was good this morning. We are now studying the Gospel of John. We are on the first chapter, so still stumbling around. He is interesting and one of the evangelists that did know Jesus.
I went to the bank today, filled my tank, had lunch with a friend and attended the last meeting of the Cream City Writers. We are disbanding because of declining membership and interest. Too bad but I am leaving anyway and frankly like the Sheboygan club better because it is more interested in quality and critique than each writer trying to give messages to the others. Content and/or subject should not matter, quality should.
Finally, after a short rest, I had my chiropractor visit. That went well, Dr. Wiegand says I should call if I need her but she feels that I am OK and no longer in need of regular adjustments.
Irishfest was fun yesterday. As I said, on my own, I would have stayed much later, but it would not have been good for me.
I did have a short visit with Mary Pat Kelly and got a chance to stop at the spots that I traditionally do, including a tribute to Tommy Makem.
Tomorrow I get to be home all the day. Bobbie and Bill are taking me out for dinner in the evening for Dick and My anniversary. I have been smiling the past few days, and crying a little, remembering him. As I always say. He still makes me smile. Am I lucky, or WHAT.
