Watching the Derby.

When I was a little girl, I always wanted a horse, and probably knew more then about the Derby and horses than I do now!!!

It is still exciting and I am anxiously waiting for those historic two minutes.    Don't know who to choose.   Patches, the underhorse?   Irish War Cry, On general principles?.   Girvin, with the oldest Jockey?    I have been doing a BIT of research since I decided to watch it.

Today was hot in Lawton,   Not as hot as it WILL be but hot.   I planted a few things and prepared to do more tomorrow and Monday.   My knees are SO sore that I just do a little at a time.

I have signed back on to Facebook.   So if you get a friend request, it is OK.

Well, they are getting ready to start the race.     I feel that I am watching with someone because I am talking to you.   That shows how much I miss a voice.   Nicky is totally bored with the whole thing:)

Always Dreaming - with a 2 horse lead.   WOW.   What an exciting race.   Thanks to all of you for experiencing it with me!!!

It was a beautiful day in Lawton.   Warm but not hot.   The wind was gentle and there was not a lot of humidity.  Can we clone this?

I saw Dr. Toy today.  He has me nicely adjusted.   Now if we can get those statins out of my system and we get some dry weather, I might start feeling human again.

I have messages in to my Doctor to try a specialist and to perhaps try some shots in the affected areas.   I am not impressed with the communication between the Comanche Medical Unit and their patients.  This is at least  twice that I called in the early morning and did not hear back by the end of the day.   Very bad.  I would, of course, if needed go to emergency, but why do my medical practitioners not communicate.   I never had this problem with the Aurora System in Sheboygan WI.

At least I got SOME response.

I will have to wait until Monday now.  Hope things at least maintain.  I can take the pain but am SO very tired.

Posting early today.     I was home all day.   So nothing too exciting happened around here.

I have been trying to refine and firm up my banking and quicken relationship, which used to be SO easy.

I got a lovely note from American Airlines today with an apology for the trip from hell.  They also gave me a gift certificate towards future travel.   I am just glad that they listened to me:)

My joints have been very sore.   There do not seem to be storm warnings so I am confused.   I am hoping that after the month required to get the statins out of my system that things will ease up a bit.   I am sick of walking like a penguin or the Tin Man:)

Besides it wears a person out.

If it is nice tomorrow, I will plant a few of my herbs.    I am also going to try to plant some seeds that will be good for the bees that I got in one of my mailings.   Can't hurt./

I am actually pleased with how the plants that I have in the sunroom are doing to well.   Dad would be proud.   I haven't killed anything since I have been here:)

Another night out.    And a special one it was.   Bart and Barb's 20th Wedding anniversary.   We went to the Samari for dinner with Adam, Lexie and the girls and Marlies.   A totally lovely evening.

Ready to call it a night.

My morning was busy with shopping, Mass and Bible study.

Just got back from Writer's Club.    First one I was able to attend in three weeks.   I am SO glad I was able to go tonight as this will be Darcian's last meeting regularly as they are moving.    So sad.   It was rather long tonight as we reviewed Katherine's synopsis for her to send with her query letter for her book.   So It was after 9PM when I pulled in.

Leslie helped me set up Facebook again this afternoon.   So far I have two friends,  Leslie and Barbara, (if she accepts my request:)   I figure that Thursday, I will expand a bit but I am going to be very selective.

It was in the 80s this afternoon but is supposed to be 20 degrees cooler tomorrow.  Go figure.   I am just waiting for the damp humid weather to turn dry.

It was COLD when Nicky and I got up this morning.   But the temperatures got up into the high 70s before the afternoon ended.

Dan and his wife, came to mow my lawn this afternoon.  He also cut down a broken branch from one of the trees in  the back yard.  Whew.

I was busy most of the day,  couldn't really tell you what I was doing, but do feel like I accomplished a few things.

Leslie is going to help me reconnect on Facebook tomorrow, so FRIENDS only look for me.

A windy windy day.      Nicky was not afraid today though.

I ended up taking the dinner over to Bart and Barb's because Bart was having a difficult medicine day.   Everything turned out fine.  I am glad it was lasagna and easy to transport.

Sleep tight
