It is a Happy One

It has been a VERY happy birthday.

Bart and Barb and I spent the whole afternoon together driving down to Wichita Falls for a shopping trip.   Barb and I fabric shopped (sweet Bart waited patiently).   We got to Hancock Fabrics and found that they are closing and selling everything at extreme discount.   So I have the batting and backing for a UFO quilt top that I have assembled since I have been here.     It will be my new bedspread.

We had dinner at a really nice Mexican restaurant.

Before we left this afternoon, I had flowers delivered from Richard and Brenda and came home to a live arrangement from Leslie and Bill.     Cards all over the place.   I am well loved.

Tomorrow I will try to figure out how to upload pictures.

In the meantime, thank you all.   I love you all.

Happy St. Erwann's Day

Happy St. Erwann's Day to Everyone. St. Erwann (aka Yves or Ito of Kermartin) is one of two Patron Saints of Brittany. He is also the patron saint of lawyers.

Today I was home all day.   Thank the Lord that I had that option as it was raining most of the day.

I know that I will be looking back on to these cool days as Oklahoma summers come upon me, but sure would like some sun.

I have been on a baking frenzy lately.   Must be nervous and not really aware of it.    I have scones, beer bread and corn bread for bread choices in this house.   Totally ridiculous for one person.  Thank God for freezers.

Tomorrow I have an appointment with the chiropractor.  I am only seeing him once a week now - Soon as needed.

Talked to Bobbie today.  Needed someone to talk to and missed Bobbie.  Also later, I called Nora.

Must be needing a voice.   Dick was so quiet, but I miss his specialness.   I know,  specialness is not q word.   I can make them up if I want to.   He was my sounding board.  Patsy Cline's "I'm back in baby's arms." brought me to tears the other day.

Mass and Bible Study this morning.   It was a good morning.   I suggested that we all, as we are studying Psalms, write our own psalm as we did during our study of Psalms at my Blessed Trinity Bible study and got myself into the organizing.   Oh, why aren't you here, my sweetheart:)   Actually I am glad to do it as long as everybody or most of the members give me their "psalm".

Aside from that I was home all day and have been working on my wall hanging of St. David of Wales and figuring out how to market my book on the patron saints.

Talked to Leslie and Jeff today.  Always glad to hear voices.  The afternoons and evenings get long.   Dick was so quiet, but we were compatible and he was my sounding board.

Guess I dropped out for a few days, eh?

Just got busy.   Taking care of the two houses took more time than I planned and I would be tired when I settled.   Bart and Barb arrived safely home at about on Sunday evening.

Exhausted, full of stories and glad to be home.    Doggies and kitties were so glad to see them.   Actually, Kitch ignored them until they went to bed and then came in and read them the riot act.

I have been busy yesterday and today also.  I went to the department of Creative Living and have the date set for the first meeting of the Celtic group I am trying to start.  They finally contacted me last week.  I had decided to look elsewhere if I hadn't heard from them by the time the kids were back.   We will have the first gathering on June 16th and meet every third Thursday after that if we get any interest.   I figure on a Tea with an introduction to the idea and a presentation on Bloomsday and James Joyce.

Tonight I went to writers club again.   Don't know how it will work out but there were again three others, one new to me as Joe is now gone.   I will go for a while anyway.  It did get me writing a bit.

Tomorrow is bible study.   I am looking forward to that.

Nicky went to his first Veterinarian appointment here for his heartworm test and meds.   He is fine otherwise and has been subdued all the rest of the day.
