Saturday

A damp and misty day.    My arthritis is "blooming".    Please Lord, send the sun.

I was home most of the day.    Mass, of course, at 4PM - I was the Eucharistic Minister of the wine.    Love giving communion to people!!!!!!:)

On the way to Mass, I stopped at the Pig to get the last things I need for Bloomsday.     Guinness, Gorgazola Cheese and Burgundy Wine.   Doesn't that sound absolutely Yummy.

So, tomorrow, I can, at my leisure finish up.   Got a couple more people, but if you have an hour or two, drop on by.

Whew

What a busy day this was.   And a lovely day.

I started off pretty early.   My appointment for my massage was at 9AM and is in Sheboygan.   Actually, Nicky woke me up a bit early this morning.  In the past week, he has started trying to get me interested in life before 7AM.  Today, he did it.   It was about twenty to seven AM when he got me awake.    So we went out a bit early.    This turned out to be a really rainy day, but the morning was OK.   He really did need to go, so it is wise to listen to the little guy.

So, I had my massage at 9AM.   My ribs and back are feeling healed, but we are working on my neck and shoulder.    I was able to drop off a payment to Nicky's Vet and then drove to Aurora Plymouth to get my Chiropractor adjustment.    So now until I see, Dr. Fehrman on 6/24 (Apparently, the only way to see him without WEEKS of waiting is to do something like shoot yourself in the foot.) we are holding off on Massage and Chiropractor as the shoulder is definitely effecting the neck.  I can call if I get too uncomfortable.

Then I met Nora and Leif at the Blind Horse for lunch.   Yea.    We had such a good visit.   I hate them being so far away.   If I more to Oklahoma, I will be closer.   Of course, then I will be further from the others.   Nothing is perfect.    We had a good lunch in the Wine Area.   They have lunches out on the patio, but with the rain, that was not possible.   So they served inside.   It was a bit noisy, but worked out well.  I have lunch for tomorrow too, of course.    And it is SO good visiting with them.

Then I went home via the Post Office so that I could check the Condo PO Box.   Got home about two and have been pretty much resting.   Clearing the desk, of course, and paying bills and stuff like that, but basically resting.

Sometimes, enough is enough.

Home again.   We got back about 1:30PM.   I picked up Nicky right away.   Charlotte said that he was a very good boy.   He did not eat his breakfast this morning though and he was just beside himself when he saw me.    Got him home and he spent the rest of the afternoon in his cubby hole underneath the desk.   I think he was worried that he might have to leave again.   He is sitting on the chair with me now.   Quite content.  By morning he will be just fine.

The evening was a success.  Felicia and I presented out talk on our Scotland trip and think we have all those there, ready to go to Scotland.   That is a success, if you ask me.

We spent the night at the home of a Celtic Friend, Dana.  She is hostess extraordinaire.   We shared a wine and conversation before going to bed.   She had to leave early in the morning but left us with fruit and cereal and coffee and MORE, before she left.  The table was set with notes as to whatever was not visible.   We felt really pampered.

Altogether wonderful.

Tomorrow night I will have lunch with Nora and Leif.   Yea.

Monday`

A usual Monday.    Started out with Bible Study.   We had a full table today, 9 of us.  Only one regular not there.   An animated discussion of Acts 26, where Paul was arrested and they did not know quite what to do with him.

Then I picked up my Mary Kay at Barb Mac Ewen's house on the way to visit Mom.   Mom is doing well.  She still experiences pain, but I believe that it is kept pretty much under control with the meds.   She is more distressed about her sight.  She no longer has to use the stand lift to get up.   Therapy wants her to be standing on her own.   With two aids, of course.

Then I went grocery shopping and finally home.   I watered the berm a bit.   We got some rain this afternoon but not too much considering the thunder that boomed overhead.  I am trying to get the berm weeded.   It is hard because I can only do a little bit at a time, but that is why I am keeping the ground good and wet - to make it easy.

Tomorrow I will be going to Chicago.  So you will not hear from me until Wednesday.

I was extremely disorganized today.    I decided to just do what popped in front of me.

Still got a lot done but do not feel guilty about not finishing any thing.  Actually, I finished several things.

On Tuesday, my friend Felicia and I are going to Chicago to give a talk on our Scotland trip.   Felicia and I work well together.  She has the facts and place names and I have the stories.   It went well at the Gathering and I am sure will go well at the Chicago branch also.

Nicky had to get a bath today. Chris asks for baths within a week of the visit. He was not thrilled with me but is a really cooperative little thing.   I might have ignored that request except that Nicky is a poop diver and I have had to do spot cleaning on him several times.

So I will finish getting organized for the week and then fix myself some Bailey's and coffee and watch the Tony's .   Dick and I ALWAY watched them, even if we had not followed the Broadway scene.   I intend to carry on the tradition.
