It was over 80 degrees here in Lawton today. Things are supposed to drop down into the 50's for several days. When I watch what is going on in the east AND in the midwest, I will not complain about the 50s. Even though it will get close to freezing during the nights.
A quiet day again, all day at home. I did have a nice long talk on the phone with a Celtic Friend, Maureen, from Chicago. That really made the day.
Did a bit of cleaning and sewing again. I think I am ready to start a new wall hanging, my friend gave me some motivation.

Went to Mass and Bible Study this morning. We were discussing John's story of the Good Shepherd. Jesus says that the sheep know the shepherd. It reminded me of a friend telling us that this is indeed true. Peggy Feider's children raised sheep, lambs, for 4H at some time. She said that when they judge the sheep they put them all in the same enclosure but sure enough when the kids call, their sheep come to them. They know their voices. What a beautiful analogy.
After Bible Study, I did my grocery shopping. I had a big winner in the Powerball, $8.00 so I didn't have to take any money out of my wallet for this week:)
Did some sewing today. And I enjoyed it. I have a little mending job to do that I think I will finish tonight. It is good to be caring about some things anyway. I even cleaned a shelf in the pantry.
Am home all day tomorrow. It is supposed to be pleasant. Today was chilly but sunny and not too windy.

Today was my cleaning lady day so I had Kerry here and my home is sparkling again. Nicky still barks at her. I don't think he can figure out her function.
Guess what. Our Adria, my great granddaughter, is the valedictorian of her class this year. Isn't that wonderful. She works so hard and it shows.
My niece, Erin and her Jon, had their baby,. They named her, Mary Rosalie. So happy for them. Nice to be a great aunt of a newborn We haven't had a baby around for a while.
I went to Writer's Club tonight. Haven't been in over 7 months. Maybe this will inspire me to get off my you know what and actually write something again. I feel so dry these past months.

I hope you missed me the last couple of days. I was in Texas. Went down for my annual Trip to the Dallas Irish Fest with my sister Nora and he husband Leif, my brother George and his wife Betsy and my nephew Stenn and his wife Bing.
This was our third year of gathering for the Fest so we now have a tradition going. We all George and Betsy and I arrived on Friday afternoon and we all went out for dinner. Then the next day we took the train to the Irish Fest. Lots of music, vendors and food. Then back to Nora and Leif's home for A sumptuous meal of Stenn's Shepherd's pie, Bing's Chinese dumplings, and smoked salmon. We also had our very first whisky tasting. George won.
This morning I hopped in the car abut 11AM Ned made it home by about 2PM. Tired but happy.and A nick quiet week ahead.
