Thursday already

Wow.   It was in the mid 60s today.  Nicky and I loved it.   I am still sore but it is a bit better.   Where is this dry Oklahoma weather that I was promised.?

I surely kept myself busy today.   Caught up on all my bill and stuff.  One would think that this would become easier:)   Let it go for a couple of days and see what happens.

The Celtic Group meeting was today at the Center for Creative Living.   Only John Kennedy and I showed.  A couple had let me know that they would not be there but I had expected two more.  John and I had a great time.  I presented information on Brigid as her feast day is February 1st.  The speaker for today, Patty, had called me to let me know that she had a family emergency and was unable to come.   She will present her talk next month on the Irish in Oklahoma.  We are few but mighty.

It really was a nice day weather wise.   Some sun, no wind and mild temperatures.

Leslie and Bill left at about 9:45PM. We kind of planned that so I could go to my Bible Study.

Leslie called me about an hour ago to tell me that they were safely home and all is well.

Bible Study was good.   We are starting a study of Acts in tandem with a Parish Bible Study of Acts.   So, I guess, if I missed a Wednesday, I could to to one of the other opportunities, but they probably will see things slightly differently.  :)   Anyway, a good two hours of study and lots of learning and questions.

This afternoon was SO quiet.   Nicky and I took a nap and I caught up on a few things.

Nicky was sick the day before yesterday and mopey yesterday but is his own normal feisty self today.  Whew.

Tomorrow, Celtic Club

Only two more months until St. Patrick's Day:)

It was a great day.   The house will be empty after tomorrow morning again.   Leslie and Bill and I have had the most wonderful visits and Leslie, bless her soul, has studied my computer and I can now move pictures to my programs.

See.  This is a picture of a wall hanging that I have made for the quilt show.  It is called Butterflies on the Trellis.

We went out to dinner to Olive Garden with Barbara tonight.

It started to rain, but not TOO badly.   Pray for a safe trip for my Leslie and Bill.

The weather has warmed up considerably but I was still chilled tonight.

Barb kindly drove Leslie, Bill and I out to the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Reserve this afternoon.   A real MUST if one comes to the Lawton Fort Sill area and then we had pizza at  Bart and Barb's this evening.

I am exhausted.

Forgot to comment on that over exciting Packer/Dallas game.  It could have gone any way.  SO very happy that our Packers pulled it off.

I am having the most wonderful weekend EVER.   Leslie and Bill did arrive yesterday.  They said it was raining most of their way but no freezing stuff so they were OK.

I fixed pasties, cole slaw and pumpkin pudding for our meal and Bart and Barb and Marlies came over to join us.   A delightful evening.

Leslie and Bill will be here until Wednesday.   The weather is improving.   It was rainy, cold and Icky today.   I am taking "advantage" of Leslie's computer knowledge and love of solving problems to solve some of mine.   She is SUCH a computer help and can explain it to me in words that I understand.

If it is nice tomorrow, will show them some of the Lawton area.

Haven't heard from Jim and Michelle in the past couple of days.   Perhaps if the weather is OK they will venture down on Monday or Tuesday.

I love having voices in the house of an evening.  Made Irish Coffees for us tonight.
