May 7th. Today would have been my sweetheart's 86th birthday. Lord, I miss him. But I know he is waiting for me. I must be patient and I still have lots that I would like to do and see in this world before joining him. Lord, I miss him!
Another beautiful day, so far, though they say that severe weather is expected later today and through part of tomorrow. Possible severe storms and maybe hail. Hope not. That is always a problem.
I have finished one of the UFO quilt tops that was in my stash. See I am getting back to normal. I am also working on a wall hanging of St. David. It is coming together. I figure I will have some hand work to do of an evening, a good thing.
Did I tell you that I did find a writer's group? I will be going to observe my first meeting on Tuesday evening. They meet EVERY week which is perhaps more than I want, but then again, maybe not. A regular weekly evening meeting might be a good thing and get me writing effectively again and get me out into the world.
Anyway, I haven't forgotten you but do get to the end of the days sometimes with nothing fun or eventful to write.
All is well.

We are up into the 80s again. Actually very comfortable. Now if I can figure out how to keep the house temperature good. There are fans everywhere and I have the lovely trees to help keep things moderate.
I went to mass and bible study today and then to see Dr. Toy, the chiropractor. I don't have to go back for a whole week so I am getting better.
That's all. I am tired.

It has been in the mid to upper 40s in the morning when Nicky and I walk, but it does warm up to the 70s so I am not complaining.
Just got back from dinner with Bart and Barb. It is their 19th Wedding Anniversary today and I wanted to treat them. We had a good meal and lovely evening at Applebee's.
Now to bed

I am sharing something that you probably read before. Actually, I was gifted it at least 35 years ago by a dear friend, a fellow realtor, in California. I hope I learned from it and have tried to remember what this dear lady said as I go through life.
If I Had My Life to Live Over by Nadine Stair
If I had my life to live over,
I'd dare to make more mistakes next time.
I'd relax, I would limber up.
I would be sillier than I have been this trip.
I would take fewer things seriously.
I would take more chances.
I would climb more mountains and swim more rivers.
I would eat more ice cream and less beans.
I would perhaps have more actual troubles,
but I'd Have fewer imaginary ones.
You see, I am one of those people who has lived sensibly and sanely,
hour after hour, day after day.
Oh, I've had my moments, and if I had to do it over again,
I'd have more of them.
In fact, I'd try to have nothing else.
Just moments,
one after another,
instead of living so many years ahead of each day.
I've been one of those people who never goes anywhere
without a thermometer, a hot water bottle,
a raincoat and a parachute.
If I had to do it again, I would travel lighter than I have.
If i had my life to live over,
I would start bare foot earlier in the spring
and stay that way later in the fall.
I would go to more dances.
I would ride more merry-go-rounds.
I would pick more daises.
Enjoy.
