I went to a quilting class that I had signed up for a couple of months ago with Barbara.    It was on paper piecing a poinsettia table runner.     It was really hard and started at 9::30AM and ended at 4:30PM.    I am totally exhausted.

Glad I had something to do and hope that I learned enough to finish the thing at some point.  I enjoyed the company of all the other ladies.

Tomorrow will be quiet.    I will go to an early mass and then spend the rest of the day at my own speed.

Hope you are all well.

Today was a bit better.
'
I kept myself busy with things around the house and that I need to do this weekend and then went to the Red Lobster for a meeting with my Celtic Friends.    There were 10 of us there.   One was a new person so I feel very good about the event.    We discussed the 7 Celtic Nations  - who they are - how they developed.    People seemed to like it.    I am so glad,    It is a fun social event.

I got flowers today from Richard and Brenda for my loss of my Nicky.   They gave him his firs toy which we called Squealers and is still here.

Tomorrow I am going to a quilting class.   Must keep busy.

I have been trying to keep myself busy but I am afraid that I was forgetting to Blog.    Perhaps I didn't want to depress everybody.

Yesterday, I went to Bible study and to lunch with some friends.   So I am getting on with things.   I would say getting back but without my Nicky, I need to establish new and or different patterns.    This I will do.    Eventually , in about a week or two, I will start looking for a companion dog again.   It is hard but as I say, I like having a dog around.     I don't ask much.    They have to be housebroken, they have to like children and they have to be willing to love me more  than life itself:)

Today, I did some grocery shopping and baked some cranberry bread for a couple of meetings that are coming up that we are asked to bring treats to.

The weather is a BIT warmer but it is still too cold for November.    We probably have a long cold winter ahead.

Hope you all are well and healthy and keeping warm.   Cold seems to be everywhere.

This is a very sad and lonely day for me.     I had to take my Nicky to the vet to be put to sleep.   I tried to get him to eat from the time I got him home from the vet last week but was only able to syringe feed him.    He was beginning to look at me with hurt eyes because all I did was shove things down his throat and he was so very tired and weak.     I don't really think he was in pain or I would have gone sooner.

As I always do with my beloved animals, I held him in my arms and cuddled him until he was gone, then stayed with him for a little bit.    I will miss him SO much.   I have pretty much stopped crying but this blog is making me weepy again.   It's OK though I still miss my other past animals, why would I not weep for Nicky?

It was warm today and the next two or three days are going to be FREEZING.    The only thing I have tomorrow is a quilt guild meeting in the evening.

Just got home from the best  dinner at Bart And Barb's   Marlies was there too.      I took Nicky along.    He is still not eating except for what I syringe into his tummy twice a day.    He did eat a couple of pieces of Barb's goulash which is more than he will do for me.

I am afraid that there is really nothing more I can do for my little guy.    I cannot keep syringing food into him and watching him fade away like he is.     Will talk to Dr. Fiorillo tomorrow but I have to do what is best for my Nicky.    Heart trouble and diabetes are just too much for his littleness.

Pray for me.    I am so tired.
