I had a full day.  This morning I went to second Saturday, presented by the Sheboygan County Historical Research Center.   They had a speaker on Immigration.   Lots of enlightening information.  Bobbie and Bill were there, so I sat with them and we got to visit a bit.

This afternoon, I went to Mass at 4PM.  A nice Mass.   I had a headache most of the day and it finally has eased up.  Now my shoulder hurts.   So I am going to bed with the heating pad on it.  I already tried cold.

Tomorrow I get to be home ALL day.

Yee Haa.

This was a quiet day overall.     My cleaning lady came in the morning.  I worked on Tallgrass board things, washed clothes and generally cleaned up my work area.

I did have some errands to run.   The pharmacy and the post office.

This evening I went to the opening of the new exhibit at the Plymouth Arts Center.   I also turned in my application form to display one of my stitchery art pieces.   Actually I am working on a new one and  this will get me moving on it.  I have until November 19. It is definitely doable.

The new exhibit is Journey Into Color featuring two artists, Leslie Trewyn who works in acrylic on canvas and Pat Reiher who does ceramic sculptures and jewelry.  Both are vibrant and prolific.     I enjoyed it a lot and then spent some time visiting with some friends and sipping a glass of wine.

Now I am going to watch the gubernatorial debate and then go to bed.

The days are SLOWLY getting quieter.  I had to be up and out of here this morning before 8AM as I took the car in for service and winterizing.   Now that is done and I can relax.

I got home before 9AM.  So had the day to finish lots of things.  I spent some time on the book and reviewed two sections.   I still need to insert pictures and maps but the words are done (I hope).

I really am very tired tonight so will not be on here too long.

Talked to George tonight.  He and Betsy had a great trip too.

I have to figure out how to get pictures on here.  Sometimes I can, sometimes I can't

Wednesday

Another full day.    Poor little Roxie had to go for another blood test check.   She is holding her own pretty well, but has come up somewhat anemic.   Her weight is maintaining and the fluids seem to be doing their job.   We are increasing the one med back to two tablets a day instead of 1 1/2.

Then I did the grocery shopping and stopped at Capelle's for some fresh corn and a sweet pumpkin.   I leave the pumpkin on the porch until after Samhain (Halloween for the non Celts) and then cook it up for pie and cupcakes.

I spent the afternoon confirming the place for the Samhain Harvest CWI potluck and preparing my papers for the Poets at Mead gathering this evening.   My friend, Janet Bieschke came with.   I had asked her if she would like to at IBAM.   She is a marvelous poet but has always just done it for herself.   So. I am glad that she is feeling that she can share it with the world.   We picked up Sy Regan on the way also.   The biggest group ever.   There were 21 people in attendance and every person read something.  Isn't that super.

Now it is bedtime.   I am taking the car in for service early tomorrow so better get to bed. That is my only outing tomorrow thought so I am grateful for that.

A short cinquan that I wrote about Scotland:

Ageless
This Scottish land
That we are traversing.
Modern alien intruders
Are we.

I keep thinking that things will settle down.

Fat chance.   Today, I had my physical with Dr. Murthy at 9AM and my dentist appointment at 11:00am.

Both appointments went well.   I got home shortly after noon and had lunch.  Then I rested for a bit and have spent the rest of the day finishing about half of the items that came to being because of the Scotland Trip and IBAM.   By the end of the week, I WILL be caught up.   Isn't that a positive outlook.

I received the discs that I need to download the Scotland pictures in a reasonable manner.  I can start on that on Thursday.   Tomorrow is still too busy with Roxie's Vet appointment and the Poets at Mead meeting in the evening.

By the way, Dr. Connors may have something to say, but Roxie has seemed to be doing pretty well since Saturday.   Peg, who took care of her Saturday night and Sunday morning, said that she was very talkative when Peg came to feed her.   She has not gotten sick since Saturday which I consider a good sign.

Several things that needed to be taken care of for Mom today too.  All is working well.  I hope Jeff agrees with me as he has the end of the hearing aid problem.   He and I are wondering how we ever managed to hold down an actual job.

The weather is kind of chilly but when the sun comes out it is so pleasant with the trees in their glory.  I want to get up early to see the eclipse in the morning.   It is supposed to be spectacular.

So.  The day is done and I am tired and ready for a good night's sleep.   Love you all.

Michael Kelly " In a land where there are no musicians; in a land where there are no storytellers; teachers and poets; in a land where there are no men and women of vision and leadership; in a land where there are no legends, saints, and champions; in a land where there are no dreamers, the people will most certainly perish."

What a day.   I went to Bible Study at 9:30AM.  Really did not want to get up.   Yesterday was a long and exhausting day, but worth every moment.  We had a good group though three of our members were absent.   Joseph's friend, Paul is visiting Felicia and Joseph and came along.   He has been before and is a good contributor to the conversation.

Then I went to see Mom.   She had an interesting morning.   The aid came and gave her a sponge bath and shortly after, another aid came and said it was her shower day.   She told her she really would rather not, but it would have been a week before her next schedule so there you go.   She said she didn't exercise because she figured that was enough activity.   Good for her.
I had to take her hearing aid to the ear doctor for checking.   The technician wasn't available until one o'clock so it was a good opportunity to stay for lunch with Mom.   That is fun and I know Mom enjoys it when we do.

I was unable to give communion to one of my little ladies, she is failing so fast and just isn't with us anymore.   My heart just breaks for her so I said a little prayer by her bed.

I have received so many questions on being in Scotland for the Vote.   And that is what is was called, the VOTE.  This is a picture of  three of our tour members standing by a car decorated with the YES decals that were ALL over the Highlands.   There were also Huge signs on the hillsides and painted on sides of buildings and flags.   All with the Blue and White YES, the colors of the Scot flag which is the Flag of St. Andrew a white X cross, because St. Andrew was crucified on that shaped crucifix, on a blue background.  Also often the Flag itself  I am pleased to have been there during such a historic event.
