Spring must be close. Our Joe, a bible study participant, is wearing sandals again. During the cold of winter, he actually started wearing sneakers but he said now that it is actually freezing or above, he is back to the sandals. A brave man.

We had some interesting discussions about the readings. Two of them involved leprosy which is now almost a forgotten disease as it can be cured and is virtually eliminated from most parts of the world. The first reading was from Leviticus which was the prescription for determining if a person had leprosy and then how the leper was supposed to behave including rending his clothes, living alone "outside of the camp" and calling "Unclean, Unclean" when anyone approached him. It seems so primitive and cruel, but of course, this contagious, awful disease was frightening and they did not know how else to deal with it. One wonders what this rending of the clothes was though.

Had a nice visit with Mother. She sure enjoyed the Wild Game Dinner and was SO pleased, as were we all, that Kathy finally won the beer tasting contest. She said that Bing came over Sunday morning and walked with her over to church in the morning. What a gal. We are so lucky to have her as a member of the family. Thanks Stenn.

I got home in time to prepare lunch and get Dick over to the Center for his therapy. He was really tired and achy today but did VERY well with the standing and his other exercises. We were so glad to be home again and done for the day.

We both rested for a while but I still feel very tired.

I have a Roxie kitty on my desk, lolling under the desk lamp looking very content. She is such an affectionate little thing. Usually if I lie down on the couch in the living room for a nap, she gets all excited and comes to join me. She either sleeps on my side or on the back of the couch. She just likes being close.

I DID fix the BLT soup for supper tonight. Sure is good.

Tomorrow is a light day. Dick has therapy in the morning and I am getting a hair cut in the afternoon. It is supposed to be really warm, all the way up into the 50s. That should bring those snow drifts down.

Take care and enjoy the heat wave.

Love

Mary
