Today started out just beautiful.   The sun was shining and it was very pleasant.    Even if it had been that nice yesterday, we could NOT have had more fun.

I am doing some work on ancestry again.   Good thing I went.   I always end up with questions after rubbing elbows with the living visitors and the monuments of the ancestors that are out there in the graveyard.    I am sure you all know my poem about picnicing in the graveyard but you are going to get it again.

PICNIC IN THE GRAVEYARD

Have you ever picnicked in a graveyard?
It is okay, you know.
As long as the residents are relatives
or friends

they will enjoy the company
and so should you.

Anyway, today was beautiful UNTIL this afternoon.   We got quite a nice rain around 5PM.   I was thinking I would need to water, but everything should be OK now.

Bible Study was exciting.   We finished the introduction to the study of Acts.    We like the fact that the commentator calls it Luke /the sequel.  We had a lively discussion of the fact that Acts brings Jesus to the "ends of the earth".    And were interested to find that there were references of this in the Old Testament too.  Jewish people like to think that the Messiah they expected was to be for them alone and not the rest of the world.

Then to Mom's.   She looked good today.   We got all her bills paid and I checked out her checkbook as the statement was there.  Then we had time to visit about yesterday.    She is so looking forward to seeing Fr. Mike and his sister.  I understand that he is coming next Monday.  He goes back to Thailand in less than two weeks now.

I am doing spot cleaning around the house again.   The main thing on my mind now is all the tools.   I am trying to consolidate and find out exactly what I have.    I know the small tool chest in the garage is mainly screwdrivers.   I also have quite a diverse collection in the kitchen.  Then they are all over the top of the work bench in the furnace room downstairs.    I know that I should never in my remaining life need a nail or a screw.   I also have tools that I know that I personally will never use but I always feel good if Bill, or Richard or Jeff ask if I have a tool and I DO!

St the day is winding down and I am satisfied.

Tomorrow I have a 9AM meeting but the rest of the day is unscheduled so I can continue with my cleaning and writing.
