Such a nice July 4th. It was quiet all day, and then we went over to Bobbie and Bill's house for dinner. We had scalloped potatoes and ham and a DELICIOUS peach pie. Chelsea was so delighted to go. She loves riding and visiting Bobbie.

She was so funny. Bobbie and Bill bought her a rawhide bone a couple of year ago. She always finds it the minute she gets there and chews it for a while. Bobbie had moved it when she painted the living room (which looks just great) and we searched for about 15 minutes for that bone. Chelsea was running all over and looking in all corners and under everything. Just to show you where animals are on the Kunert priority chain. We were offered our drinks AFTER we found Chelsea's bone.

I am going to have Guests for lunch on Thursday. Actually it is family, George and Betsy, Dorothy Holden ( Betsy's mother) and my Mom. I am really trying to figure out what to fix but know for sure that I will make blueberry pie. I have the very best blueberry pie recipe.

THE BEST BLUEBERRY PIE IN THE WORLD

1 baked 9 inch pie shell

4 cups blueberries

Glaze: 2/3 cup water
1 cup sugar
3 heaping tablespoons corn starch
1 cup blueberries

Place 4 cups blueberries in pie shell and set aside. In a saucepan, combine the glaze ingredient. Cook until thick and clear, stirring frequently, about 10 to 12 minutes. Pour over the berries in the pie crust, cool and refrigerate. Serve with whipped cream.

YUM YUM YUM

Love

Mary
