We had a slim to none change of rain and it turned out to be NONE. AGAIN.
Sure would have welcomed that rain. Well, we are in Oklahoma. And it is summer.
Nora called this afternoon. We had a good visit. Always happy to have a voice in the middle of the day.
Next week, I have two doctor appointments. Sure hope they can help me with my aches and the squishy feeling. I am not learning patience if this is the lesson that I am supposed to be gaining:)

Another day in a very quiet week. I am feeding Bart and Barb's animals in the mornings and letting Lily out at noon but aside from that there is nothing to write about:)
It is still hot, and humid but mainly staying below the 100 mark. Not much difference between 99 and 101 actually.
So will check in regularly and perhaps something exciting will happen eventually.

Well, I was somewhat useful today.
Went grocery shopping this morning and cleaned the floor of my pantry this afternoon. That little bit exhausted me though.
I had supper with Bart and Barb. I will be petsitting a day or two in the coming week so needed to get instructions because of the little kitty.
Thats all that is exciting so will sign off

Went to the 8:30AM Mass this morning. Left after communion because I didn't feel too well. That continued for the day so I just took it easy and rested. I wonder if the meds that I have are making me feel icky.
Well. I'll find out soon as I am almost through with the one I am suspicious of.

A day at home AGAIN! But it was OK. I got a couple of phone calls.
One from my friend, Peg Payne, from Cascade. Peg is such a pleasure to talk to - always full of joy and wisdom. While we were talking, a storm rolled in and we got RAIN here in Lawton. A nice rain which we have needed so badly. The temperature is down to 77 degrees and it is still sprinkling. My lawn is singing with joy. Only had one kitty show up for supper tonight. His friend is probably somewhere sheltered and the one who showed up will be really fat tomorrow. They don't feel the need to share or save anything.
Jeff called too. He wanted to quickly update me on the Deeley/Cool picnic that was yesterday in the park in Falls. It was great and I wish I could have been there. Uncle Jim, Diana Cool's dad and my Dad's brother and I always got along well. He was a charming Deeley and a vary smart man. Diana was there with her children, Jay and Christopher and their families. Doug and Caroline Deeley (Diana;s half brother and his wife)and my sisters Eileen with Fred and Dolores with Ken and Randy came too. Family is special.
So the end of a perfect Saturday. I always like voices in the day. It just gets too quiet around her. Nicky never has much to say except "walk me" or "feed me".

I stayed home today. Good thing. It was over 100 degrees and not fit for man nor beast ourthere.
I had a couple of people call me which broke up the day. My Jim and his Michelle called just to talk. They sounded so good. I miss everybody.
Nora called too and we had a good visit.
I see the doctor tomorrow AGAIN about this sunburn or whatever it is. Sure hope they can come up with something to get rid of it and the itching.

Hot and humid here in Lawton. It is still 102 degrees and humid. One would hope for some rail with all that humidity but NO!!!!
I filled my gas tank and did my grocery shopping this morning. Spent the rest of the day at home. I was supposed to help Bart get his cat, Kitch, to the vet but he caught him easily so did it himself. Kitch is in fine shape, just old. He is 15 years old. Pretty old for a cat but he should have several more years as well as he is cared for.
Tomorrow I am home all day. I think I will not even shower:)

Boy, did we have a thunderstorm last night. (No tornado or anything, just a thunderstorm.) Lightening, booming thunder and rain. We have really needed the rain, I hope it helped as we are looking forward to a week of dry triple digit days now.
Didn't have anything outside of the house today. So worked on the book a bit, just a bit, I still haven't much energy. Oh well, that will come in time.
Tomorrow is election day in Oklahoma. I will be voting, as little as I know about the candidates. They are voting on the medicinal marijuana law too. Hope that passes.

Had my port flushed today. It only takes a couple of minutes but is important to do once a month to be sure all is clear and not clotting. I am free now until 7/20. Did some shopping and banking while I was out too.
It is the second day of summer today. With all the early hear we had, it is hard to think that it is just beginning. Supposed to be triple digits for the next three days or so.

Went to the doctor about my "rash" today and have been informed that it is sunburn. Apparently, cancer and chemo have made me VERY susceptable. I need to use aloe vera until it clears up.
Went to writer's club tonight. I read a section of my saint book. Jed and Katherine read chapters from their books. So it was a full night. I must start reading more myself.
Til tomorrow

Got a haircut today. I don't know what I was thinking making the appointment for one day after my trip, but it worked out just fine.
The wedding was beautiful. Jessie and all put a lot into it. The judge who did the ceremony was full of symbolism and stories. The bride was beautiful (as she always has been.) And Phil, of course was a handsome groom.
The dinner was Cuban based, quite interesting. Phil's mother,, Sandy, made the cake and homemade champagne truffles with the kid's initials on them. They were what all chocolate should be.
I spent part of the weekend with my niece, Suzi, who I went to England with. We had a grand time just visiting and her showing me around her territory.
Monday I went to the Bible Study in Sheboygan Falls and then to lunch with several Celtic Friends. Spent the night with Joan Kramer and she did the reflexology on my feet so I am set until September.
Home again on Tuesday. The trip home was easy and uneventful, unlike the trip there on Thursday. I won't go into that because it was terrible. Sufficient to say that I was supposed to be in Milwaukee at 6PM and arrived at midnight.
All in all a great trip with family and friends.

Well. Tomorrow I leave for Jessica's wedding so you won't hear from me until next Tuesday or Wednesday.
Just got back from a lovely dinner with Bart and Barb. Adam and the girls and Marlies were there also so it was a real family meal. We had grilled steak and asparagus and a lovely salad.
So until next week.
