The heat continues.    I had a phone visit with Jeff today and it is HOT in Wisconsin too.  So I guess I am no worse off here.

He and Kathy went to the June A Palooza fundraiser that Meals on Wheels put on at Christopher Gardens which are not always open to the public and are spectacular.    It included areas in the gardens that were ethnically themed with food and pairings of beer and wine.   Jeff said the gardens are spectacular and they loved the food.   The Black Pig was the Italian food and had mac and cheese which is one of their specialties.    Jeff and Kathy introduced themselves to Rob, the owner, who is the son of my friends and ex neighbors Bob and Peggy Hurrie.   I made the Black Pig wall hanging that is displayed in the restaurant.   Rob was pleased to meet them.    The Hurries are such good friends.

Today, I was home except for church and I go to coffee and breakfast breads afterwards.   I am beginning to know people and that is one of my places to meet them.

Tomorrow, I have nothing special going so will go grocery shopping and pick up a couple to things I need for the house.   Got to go to the bank too.  I only have two dollars in my pocket.  Dick would be horrified:)
